Buying a ssqa plate

Yeh, I was weary of the feedback number too, but it says he already sold over 80 of these things. In any case, if this a scam, Ebay covers it with a money back guarantee, so safe enough to order. Curious how they're selling these for nearly 1/3 of Titan's pricing on their website, and how they got so many of them. Walmart's website selling exactly same plate for $124, same mfg part number and everything. Hmm, strange.

Perhaps they recovered them in a closed/bankrupt business auction? Bid on an unclaimed container? It is odd but there are ways to acquire such stuff at a much lower rate than retail. A good auction is a great value, especially for equipment accessories

For the money...why not take a shot? If it's real it's a steal. I agree that I would just use it for various implement projects and cut off the excess metal.

The picture looks more like 3/16" than 5/16". An intentional typo perhaps?

Not that I'm suggesting that you're going to have a problem, but I test fit every plate against my SSQA before I start welding. I've seen a couple of plates that were out of spec. over the years.

Not sure how they are even shipping an oversized 85 pound item for that selling price....let alone paying ebay/paypal feels and then make money?
