I always find these discussions a bit entertaining since most people don't realize that almost ALL smaller tractors are made in Korea or other parts of Asia these days. The sub-100HP John Deeres are made in Korea, but assembled in the US. New Holland is made by LS. You can by an LS for much less than a New Holland simply because of the name difference. I know several with LS tractors who are very happy with them. Mahindra is now one of the largest tractor manufacturer in the world. I had one and loved it. Unfortunately, they are now getting expensive, like Kubotas since people are recognizing they are good heavy and dependable tractors.
As most have said, Get a tractor with good dealer support where you can get parts. This varies by region. In Texas, Mahindras are a good buy since they import and assemble them in Tyler, TX. Easy to get parts. I recently bought a Branson tractor. It has been a good, but not as good as my previous Mahindra. I bought it because there is a dealer 20 miles from my house. Great support! If there would have been a Mahindra dealer closer, I would have bought one of those. Kubotas are nice and will run forever, but so will just about every other tractor with proper maintenance.
That being said, if I buy another tractor I'll be finding the best deal on either a Kioti, Kubota or Mahindra and be happy with any of them.
