An elderly couple from our church came out to visit yesterday, people in their suburban neighborhood have started sitting around in their driveways playing guitar and singing. They got to meet neighbors they have lived near for years and never took time to get acquainted with. Kind of turned back the clock to the pre-air conditioning days when people used to sit on their porches, and everyone knew their neighbors well.

Coronavirus Lockdown May Save More Lives By Preventing Pollution Than By Preventing Infection

To keep from making tracking in the You May Be Getting Old tread I am starting this to talk about possible positive outcomes of the 2020 Pandemic that our grand kids are sure to be talking about 90 years from now when they are our age.

At the moment it is hard to think about how in 2020 this pandemic may save more lives than it takes.

I clinked the link. Turn off my ad blocker? Sorry Forbes, gotta decline. IMO fewer humans is a positive outcome of the 2020 pandemic. I know that sounds cynical but 7.7 billion is too many for the Earth to support.

Maybe in 2100 people will look back and see that this is the point where office workers shifted to mostly working from home rather than going to an office every day, and switched from business travel for meetings to video calls.

We, (Americans) wouldn't have an apple, peach, head of lettuce, gallon of milk, or a chicken thigh without these incredibly hard working migrants or illegals. It is shameful how we treat those that do so much for our well being.

In the past we relied on family, (kids) and bums who lived in the field in shacks . . . now these kids today for the most part are not allowed to do this kind of work.

The only thing that is shameful is the fact that anyone here illegally is nothing but a slap in the face of everyone that comes here legally to work...only the misguided see it differently...
