I picked up another saw. I wanted a saw a little lighter than my 372 but would still cut decent. I really needed another saw since I’ve got 2 people working pretty often was the biggest reason. I’ve got some 50 cc saws but they don’t cut to suit me. The best value I could find was a Makita branded Dolmar. I haven’t used it a lot but so far I’m pretty happy with it.

Nice 60cc saw! When did Makita stop making them in their blue/green color?

I have only taken my loader off once in 21 years of ownership and 3000 hours of use, and that was when I had to replace the clutch and split the tractor.

Even for doing rear end work like tillage, I will scoop some dirt in the front bucket to put a little more weight on the front end to get the front tires to bite a little better.

The only thing lifting the front tires is the winch.

My neighbors were working across the road with their Timberjack, and I had already warned them I may need a rescue.
Instead I ran a chain from the bucket to a tree, and pulled myself out that way.

There was a stream running through here long ago, which gradually filled in with sediment. Pre setter or later, who knows?
The front tires dropped into the old channel.

Dang, the one above always posts upside down. :( Same place as above, different view.

Your lucky you’re not here in Oregon running through the creeks etc can land you in jail worst case best a slap on the wrist. Do you guys have set back or buffers on creeks or wet lands?

It's no longer a stream, the only reason I say that there was a channel there at one time was because my front tires were following it instead of coming out on the other side. I was trying to freeze it down, piling more snow on to form a crude ice bridge. You can see how that worked out for me.
Trust me, I deal with our laws on a regular basis; I would never have posted that on a public forum, if there was a violation involved.

I believe my tractor is 200 hrs, but I don't think I've ever let it go that long.

SR

Yeah, I think mine is 200 also.. seems like a long time..
