Mid 30s, subject to change. I think Doofy left the Fridge door open again. Most of the eastern half of the country is forecast to be well below normal for the next week.

Mid 30s you shouldn't need to worry anyways. You can always keep an eye on the temp and if it does drop, go out and water as I suggested.

Yard thermometer logged 32 degrees but I wasn't outside to see if there was ice anywhere. Official reporting station so far says 36 which at least ties the record set over 70 years ago.

Interesting!
Any official reading less than 36, would thus be a record low for May 9th in Lower Uncton.

Today it's my turn to be concerned. Two inches of snow on the ground and still coming down. Trees which were already established are fine, as they are still dormant; but the trees I just put in the ground last night came with partially developed leaves and may not make it. If I owned a leaf blower I would go blow the snow off them, but I don't so a broom will have to do.

We're not getting frost lately, but highs in the 40s with 10-25 mph winds and scattered snow showers are no fun for the siding job.

I'm near the 43rd parallel, or not as far North as the Southernmost tip of the 'Island of Britain'.

A good hour South of here in Ann Arbor it's 4^ colder at noon today (May 9).

(Other than that I like mid-40s temps for working outdoors.)

How is your uncle doing? ...

He's what anyone would call 'fruity' but I'm at a loss to say how far gone :cuckooclock: he is considering the current climate.

Some might say he's lost his nuts.

There comes a time in one's life when budding and blossoming are no longer seasonal occurrences and composting becomes immutable.
