With retirement getting nearer we will be adding a vehicle to replace the one that has been provided by the company. We're settled on a Tahoe. No definite date in mind, but I've been following prices for the last year. Recently I have seen some dealerships advertising new Tahoes at MSRP. Other dealers have ads with an MSRP of over $60K and a sale price of $47K without even talking to them. According to news reports, GM has been pretty much in shutdown recently and will start building 2021's at the Arlington plant on May 18th. What effect that has remains to be seen.

My boss told me his used car dealer buddy has been swamped with customers recently. His feeling is that most of them are using their relief check as a down payment.

It is really difficult for me to figure out what's going on. On one hand there are mile-long lines to get free food. Then I see reports of businesses booming and people buying big ticket items as though everything is just peachy. If we do reach a point where prices will be in a slump, when will it be? Wifey went to the butcher shop yesterday and said there's plenty of beef, but the prices are about 25% higher than last week.

Next time you're out and about, notice the number of paper plates on vehicles. Between tax refunds (which usually bring a high number of used vehicle purchases) and the stimulus money, there are a bunch of them out there now.

I have not really seen any deals out there but i figure its b/c our government is printing money and giving to everyone and companies. I was hoping to get slightly used trailer for a discounted price. I have not tracked on down. Been looking at new trailers ill wait another month or two.

As the above poster stated i too have seen a lot of paper plates. So the stimulus is apparently working. I read an article recently by an investigative journalist who said we have spent or loaned 7 trillion dollars and he expects to see another 7 trillion. We could potentially see our national debt sky rocket to almost 40 trillion

No great deals on tractors here in Central Texas. Nearest Kubota dealer is thriving right now. Selling two tractors, a skid steer and five zero turns each week. And has been selling like that all spring. Homeowners, farmers and construction contractors who are in the market for new equipment, have more time on their hands to make a purchase. Parts department is doing double business for same reasons, people have more time on their hands to do maintenance and make repairs they were postponing.

I see no downside to waiting no and some upside. Some hobby users may need cash instead of a neat toy they use 50 hours a year.

IMHO,you might see a slight increase in tractor sales with folks that want to start their own gardens and such.

I talked to my Ford dealer last week. He has a 2020 F150 Limited that he would knock down from list of 75k to 62k. That's a pretty good deal.
