I scored a new farm truck. 2006 ram 3500 cummins 6spd dually with 3 year old cM work bed, goose neck ball, under bed tool boxes, headache rack and strap rails, air bags with onboard pump in clean shape for under $10,000.

Tractor deals are non existant. Lots of stuff for sale locally for around stimulus check prices

I had a dealer take $980 off a small new single axle camper with no haggle....just inquiring. His advertised price was the best I could find to start with.

I talked to my Ford dealer last week. He has a 2020 F150 Limited that he would knock down from list of 75k to 62k. That's a pretty good deal.
??? For a 1/2 ton?? Not worth it.....

This is unrelated to the COVID-19 crisis, but my next door neighbor's relative just passed away from cancer and his wife is selling his Massey Ferguson 231 for for $5,000. It comes with a rotary cutter and a box blade. Garage kept and looks new. I would love to have it, but I don't have enough land. I'm in the market for a compact tractor to cut 2 acres of grass and to maintain a long driveway. I think the AG tires would be too rough on the lawn and I'd want a front-end loader. I suppose this deal won't last long though.

Thanks. That seems to be the only kind of "deals" I am seeing. Long term financing, delayed first payments, etc. I hate debt and don't borrow money so these type of things don't appeal to me. I have been shopping for a truck for my son. The cash prices quoted this week are the same as pre pandemic. I don't get it. They can't be selling that many and you would think they would be wanting to move units. They won't budge on price but they will finance it forever with no payments due until 2021.

You have to realize that while what you say is true, there is also no trucks/cars being manufactured, either. So while you think you have the advantage as a buyer, the law of supply & demand is working against you. Ford & Gm manufacturing ventilators for NYC

You think????
That’s a little less than what I paid for a Loaded RAM 5500 crew cab 4WD Cummins diesel chassis. A lot more truck than a king ranch F150

Up here in Ontario, Canada every one of the dozen dealerships I have driven by have their lots stuffed full, I doubt if you could add 10 more vehicles. I talked to a couple of local dealers who stated business is dead, and they are having a tough time surviving. They are going to be in a world of hurt for a long time, probably at least a year, before business starts growing again. One of our local GM dealers a couple of miles from here has got a big lime green sticker 23,784 discount pasted on the side of a new suv. Not sure what the original sticker price is, because I won,t go on the lot to check it out, but I,m guessing well north of 80K.

As mentioned previously, finance deals are out there, but you won’t find any price concessions. As a dealer, we aren’t discounting. Quite the opposite. You see, after we sell out of our existing inventory, we’ll be sitting on our hands for at least 2 months until new inventory arrives. Some of our vendors are telling us that orders placed now will arrive in Q4. Frankly, we don’t need a yard stuffed full of equipment to sit for the winter.

If you want a tractor this year, go get one.

Exactly. With manufacturing plants shuttered and the supply chain disrupted, I would think it’s a sellers/dealers market.
The financing “deals” and just manufacturers taking advantage of a crisis. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but let’s face it, folks like the OP think there’s a crisis, so nobody is buying equipment. To a degree, it is true, but farming and small time hobby farming isn’t slowing down at all (a few segments are, but not crops). In fact, it’s probably very active with people looking for stuff to do.

I’ve always got a couple nice equipment items for sale on CL and every Friday night about 5PM soon after the adult beverages have started to be consumed, I get 2-3 calls or texts with the “ Corona virus “ or “ Corona virus/ Corona beer “ offers from dreamers
usually 1/2 of what Im asking
