The last video I almost watched of the Morgans was the one titled something about leaving the RK deal. Then he starts off about using a saw mill and I think I had to click forward about 20 minutes before he started addressing the video title. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Screw that.

Early on, Mike痴 wife didn稚 have a big part in his videos. I think she became a bigger part in order to help increase viewership. I actually liked the channel more in the early years, but pretty women attract attention.

Same here. With his little Kub and trusted old Stihl making firewood and stacking it in a wooden box hanging on the 3 points. He is way out of my class now or lets just say he outgrew me, never missed a video then now I catch part of one once every couple of months, still a subscriber though.

I do think it crosses the line to comment/criticize on somebody's wife like that, or at least keep it polite and clean (if you can't say something nice, better not to say it at all). But it makes me think how funny it would be if I did a video of my typical day tractoring in the country. My wife is good looking, a great cook, great mom, etc, but her main role in our country life is to keep me straight and not let my head get too big. I think it would make for some hilarious videos if I was out there being smarty pants "Joe Tractor Operator" and she stuck her head out the window and chewed me out for leaving my dirty boots on the floor, forgetting to fix the vacuum cleaner, or asking me to take out the trash. Now that would be reality TV. Behind every real husband is a strong wife.

Once you put yourself out there on the tUbe then all bets are off, you better have thick skin.

Regarding using your wife to attract eyeballs:
I believe with YouTube, one gets to chose what the thumbnail, or still picture shot, is that represents/advertises the video.

One can usually spot pretty easily if the thumbnails were selected to be gratuitous bait or if they’re more closely related to the subject of the video.

The Morgan’s don’t appear to do that (compared to others mentioned here).

Don’t hate/shame someone, or suggest they shouldn’t show their face because they’re attractive, that’s as bad a hate/shaming someone because they’re ugly.

Wish the Morgan’s the best. Having Kubota be a sponsor to them is a testament to their success. Hopefully they will offer helpful critiques of the good and what could be improved of their use of equipment. Maybe even highlight some issues discussed on this very website. Helping others is the best way to help ourselves.

I have only sampled their offerings a few times. Not my cup of tea yet as I focus on different things. With their new equipment experience evolves might find more common ground.

I enjoy watching Mike using his Wood-Mizer.
If I were younger, I would buy one.

It's not about them or anybody else making money. It's about people shilling for companies under the guise of truth.

Muhammed has clearly defined adds on this site. Many YTers will do sponsored videos that are clearly labeled as sponsored content. Again, more power to them. It gets shady where they start shilling for a particular vendor or product & it's never disclosed why.

And that includes to what amounts to false advertising as well.

For example in the context of this discussion, let's take a OWTM typical YT video:

- 15 minute video with a third to two thirds with him talking to the camera. If I open a video about tractors, guns, knives, cooking or machining work - I want to see a video spending the vast majority of the time on tractors, guns, knives, cooking or machining work. That's the whole point of a video. NOT someone's face from forking 6" away. That's just plain old rude and revolting. (Hannah the Noodler is an obvious exception here).

- It's pretty **** hypocritical for Morgan to put his wife front and center of the previews and videos with the obvious attempt at getting better views/subs/$$$ and then come on here and complain when someone makes a comment about his wife. The comment itself was rude and uncalled for. But anybody with a half a brain could have seen it coming from 5 miles away. My guess is that the views/subs/$$$ clouded his vision.

Another term for false advertising is "lack of ethics" or "lack of integrity".

Want to see a YT video with high integrity? Simple: Watch one of Andrew Camarata's videos. What do you see: 20-30 second intro (here's the job at hand...let's get started), 15-30 minutes of action doing what he does best getting stuff done, then a short epilogue where he shows the results of him getting stuff done. Do you see him using a selfie-stick from 6" away. Nope. Ten minutes of useless verbal diarieha(sp) out of a 15 minute video? Nope.

My bet is that now that Morgan sees that TBN isn't going to be safe haven from critical comments, unlike his YT channel where he can limit comments from only his fanbois, he won't be spending much time here.

Lots of haters, trolls, jealous types try and justify their behavior because (put yourself on youtube all bets are off) lol since it's on the internet their insecure unhappy self becomes embolden or something because they can sit in type away and say whatever they want. I usually give most the benefit of the doubt because I know they have issues of some sort or another, the more they talk nonsense the more it confirms their issues. Like your previous post comparing me to some guy that sold something or whatever?
