It's snowing here now, but not sticking. Funny thing though, I just clicked on this thread and it booted me to a Norton's Antivirus thread alert... or some clone made to look like Nortons. Since I haven't used their software in over 15 years, I suspect that it was the latter... most likely due to some site I just visited through eBay.

we had a 10 degree day late april. looks like i'll have about 3 lbs of apples this year. and maybe 2 or 3 pears. 2 years ago we harvested about 400 lbs. of apples. last year we had about 20 lbs of apples and 50 lbs of pears.

We were 18F below the normal for today. Has been cool with frost several mornings. Supposed to crawl out of it tomorrow with 4-5 days of rain/thunderstorms. Some early planted corn is being replanted. Not much optimism among the farmers.
Cold and flurries again today. I've always defined a "good winter" as one which has had enough snow and cold for me to get tired of it. I believe that this year has far surpassed that. I'm not ready for 85 and humid, but would at least like to see the snow to stop and for soil temps come up enough for planting.

I agree. Our first snow to our last snow spanned 172 days. That's very abnormal for us. We had heavy frost yesterday, first frost was either 8th or 9th of October. Normal first frost. Extremely late last frost.
We've had a LOT of wind too. About normal on moisture. About normal snowfall amount although it snowed 25 times which was above normal. Strange weather.
