Are you happy with your TYM tractor and its warranty?

I'll bite. I was happy with my TYM warranty. I had several issues with my T273 early on, including at least two cracked muffler mounts. These were all replaced for free under warranty with parts shipped out and received within a few days. I also received an entire muffler assembly at one point. So, I can't complain. Like anything it starts with a good dealer who will represent your interests. My impression is TYM is and has been working hard to gain a foothold in the crowded CUT market, so they are acting in good faith with their warranty.

Thanks for replying. I am surprised your the only reply so far. I figured there were more TYM owners on here. I have a Mahindra built by TYM and I like it. I like it so much I am trading it for a TYM. My present tractor is out of warranty this year. Mahindra came out to my place once for some programing at no cost. Have had no problems. Only problem here is few and far between for dealers. An RV dealer up in Maine is making a go of it. Only a year or two into it and said they have moved quite a few tractors. I have no experience with their service end of it, but I hope they stick with it. It looks like they are making a big investment into TYM. Among other things. Other than them the existing dealers in New England stock very few. I hope they make a big splash.

Sounds like you bought the tractor. I looked at those, but don’t believe they have any sort of a service department. There was no way to contact TYM directly through their website. So I sent a message through their Facebook page almost two weeks ago inquiring about service in the area; no reply.

The above warranty account is encouraging, but what if TYM insists on determining the work needed or it is beyond your capacity.

I don't doubt that TYM tractors are a decent machines, and certainly a very good buy.
My concern would be that TYM support will always be a crap shoot in the USA marketplace.

I completely agree with this statement. When I purchased my TYM in 2008 I took a chance that the dealer and service network would grow in the pacific northwest. Sadly, it hasn't. I like the machine, and it was an excellent value purchase, but I'm pretty much on my own if anything breaks. If I had to do it all over again I think would have spent the extra money for the equivalent, or just bought a micro-CUT from Kubota or Deere. If you have good support in your area, I wouldn't have qualms about buying one though.

I hear that. I hope that company in ME will step up to the plate. It looks like they have deep pockets. Time will tell. Looks like a good opportunity for a young tech to move up there and lead a strong service dept. I have spoke with the owner. Young very helpful guy. Lots of tractors used in Maine. Eya

Like most tractors, TYM sells to independent dealers who may or may not provide service. To my knowledge TYM-USA does not provide service, but doest stock parts that dealers can purchase. Knock on wood that I haven't had an issue I couldn't fix. If you don't have at least 3 dealers who can provide service within an hour drive, I think I'd look at other brands.

Are they also going to carry Branson? TYM recently bought Kukje and owns Branson. They're reported going to keep the branson and TYM lines separate, but they'll share parts and engines. The merger makes TYM the second largest tractor manufacturer in South Korea so I'm told. I think this means they're here to stay, but time will tell.
