My husband needed a new pair of boots badly. He uses a chainsaw at least every other weekend as well as using the tractor. Unfortunately, he would never buy safety boots because he's frugal and doesn't think he needs safety boots. I bought him some Wolverine boots with a composite toe and said Happy Birthday Honey!!!

He has to wear them now because he hates wasting money. :laughing:

My wife does similar things. I am perfectly content with ratty stuff but she seems bend on improving me. I am a blessed man with a lot of stuff I don稚 need.

I had to replace my forester helmet, but not one peep out of my wife. She doesn't complain about safety related stuff. (Cheap Stihl helmet, run over it just one time with a tractor and it goes to pieces )

I ran over two chainsaws in (2) years doing the same thing, but surprisingly, she did not really say much about.

Ran my 15" PTO chipper yesterday with a friend. Wore my institutional rubber crocks all day. I would hate to get sucked into that thing and have steel toed boots nick those nice knives!
