2019 JD 2025R
Been a lot of back and forth between a Kubota B2601 and a JD 2025R. Spec wise the 2601 was a bit better and prices were within a few dollars, but chose the 2025r. I just liked the mower and bucket quick disconnect better, and just could not get used to the treadle pedal. Rented a Kubota, and borrowed a neighbors B2650, but just didn’t like it. Plus the Kubota insurance was over $20 more per month then the JD insurance, and really didn’t see any difference between the two. So hopefully I will have it by end of next week. They had to trade the r4’s that are on it with radial turf from another dealer. Plus the 3rd function takes quite awhile to install. They were doing another 2025r and the whole side of the tractor was apart. Now I’m wondering what else I should get before delivery. I got the FEL, 60 auto connect mmm, loaded radial turf tires, and 3rd function just in case I get a plow or grapple later. I’m thinking forks, and a ballast box for now, but may look on Craigslist to see if any come up. I got tractor for $23,300 otd with 0% for 84 months.

Congratulations.

I don't know is you are a fabricator of any sort but DIY ballast boxes are pretty common and cheap. Also, the JD bucket connection is very efficient for custom forks.

I have a 2019 2025R. Great machine. The light duty Frontier fork attachment is the lightest one around. That improves lift capacity. Have your dealer set the joystick pressure at max spec. Mine was a little lower than the low side of the spec. I set it to the max side of spec and it lifts a lot more. These are strong little tractors.

If a box blade is in your future then 2 rear remotes (3 better). Top and tilt are cylinders that replace the top link and adjustable side link (can be added later).
Don't know your opinion on 3pt quick hitches but, telescopic lift arms and telescopic side links will make 3pt easier to use.

I added a 2 to 2 1/2 adapter to the fork attachment for trailer moving. And made a place to store the ball mount. IMG_20190505_191643526.jpg20200405_105752.jpg

I will check into that. Do you know what the specs are?

ABSOLUTELY DO GET forks!
You may be surprised to find that you will use them more often than the bucket.
You might want to consider EA forks first though, as they make some really nice lightweight (STRONG) ones!
Check out the EA website, and then give Travis a call at EA.

That’s what I have been told. Now it’s just deciding which one. $900 for frontier seems high when I can get Titan with 2” receiver for $500.

Nice job. Are those the Frontier ones? Dealer wants $900 for them
I think I paid around 700. They are lighter than the ones Amazon sells. Every bit helps as these tractors don't lift a lot. Make sure they set the joystick pressure at the maximum of the range. It made about 350 more pounds of lift on mine.
