Finally bought a tractor

That’s what I have been told. Now it’s just deciding which one. $900 for frontier seems high when I can get Titan with 2” receiver for $500.

I am not a shill for EA, and I have had my differences with them about "free shipping", but you will not find a better strong, lightweight, set of forks for your relatively small JD than those made by EA!
What THEY BUILD..... is ALWAYS WORTH THE MONEY !!!

The titans are 200 pounds heavier. These tractors won't lift enough to need more substantial than the Frontier. 900 is too much. Check green tractor parts or tell your dealer you know someone who got them for around 700.

Titans web site says the frame weighs 108lbs, but doesn’t show fork weight. What do 42” forks weigh?

Look at the shipping weight. I think it's 350. The Frontier is 140. Titan has thicker forks as well. I deliver them often. For a larger tractor I would get them. They are stout. But they will reduce your lifting capacity by 20% compared to the lighter ones.

Good buy. Not sure I'd get used to the threadel pedal either. Was getting pissed at my JD2025R over the driveshaft ujoint greasing, but it has really done a job lately with our war on invastive first shredding/chipping with the MacKissic and hauling with the FEL. Now do the shredding with the Frontier bush hog and haul with the FEL. Been running up the hours.

Had the Ujoints greased by the dealer at 200 hours. Figure I'm good now for another 300-400 hours. Problem might be if they came from factory a bit dry. They greased them good: took the shaft completely out so they could bend the Ujoints to get a gun solidly on the zerks.

My first 2019E (labeled 4010 back then) blew up its lead driveshaft Ujoint at 660 hours and 9 years. Dealer had said they had never seen it. Guess it happened a lot because JD changed the grease interval to a ridiculously low 50 hours, but you cannot get a gun on the rear one, and can barely see the front one through a crack. Just not practical. Both the 4010 and 2025R have been trouble free, except for 3ph tightening gizmos breaking because I did not tighten them enough on the 4010 and some front turf tire problems with the 4010. Got R4s on the 2025R: MUCH tougher tires. Absolutely no R4 problems at 300 or so hours and nearly 4 years.

EA is "Everything Attachments", a premier attachment manufacturer in North Carolina.
If you do not know who they are, you obviously need to educate yourself about them.
Look them up here on the internet, BEFORE you buy ANY attachments from a tractor dealer, or elsewhere.

EA makes a VERY light weight set of forks that is just perfect for your smaller machine.
Their equipment may not be as cheap as Titan, or some others, but it is WAY better!

You will be making a major mistake buying forks, if you do not check out EA first.
There are literally HUNDREDS of folks here on TBN who buy ALL their attachments from EA.

The EA forks for your size tractor ONLY weigh 238 lbs. (this light weight allows for maximum useful load to be lifted by your loader)
They are rated for 2200 lbs (more than your very small tractor can lift by a lot)
The EA cost is $740 with no tax, and free shipping!

I went and looked at them. I would buy them before Titan. But the Frontier uses the same forks with a much lighter frame. They also add 50 dollars for John Deere QA. But about 100 pounds heavier is a no go for me. The main use for my tractor is forklift type work. I chose John Deere after going to every dealer for every brand. I had them all mount forks and put weights on a pallet. The John Deere had the most lift of any non teir 4 tractor. Part of the reason for that is their QA is 100 pounds lighter than skid steer. The specs shown are useless as they are all measured different. That's why I went to every brand and asked them to test it. Kubota is the worst. They have longer loader arms. They traded lift height for weight capacity. That's why they have smaller buckets. But if lift height is important to you Kubota would be a good choice.

I do not understand how you could have looked at the EA lightweight forks, unless a friend has them.
