Nice job! Thanks for sharing. The extra work on adding the hip roof is a nice touch. Looks very nice.

Thanks.. I really like a hip roof, definitely more work cutting the rafters but I like the looks, and it matches the Cabana you can see in the background in some of the pics.

Ok , time for installing siding. I have it all cut to length, stained both sides and all edges so its just a matter of getting them plumb, spacing properly and nailing them up!

So this process goes pretty quick once you get everything cut to size and stained.

You'll notice in the third pic the drive through door on the end has turned into a walk door , but... keep watching.

Ok, door time.. (and this isn't in real time, this was actually over the course of several months)

Getting started.. Old school..

Fitting and hanging the doors.. not too bad considering the building. Had to adjust a lot of stuff due to the uneven and sloping concrete, but it all turned out ok.

So this project is completed other than running electric in and installing circuits. A very satisfying project seeing as it all started with standing trees on my property, cut them down, ran them through my little samill to make the lumber I needed. All the wood on this building was from the property other than the OSB on the roof, and the plywood on the soffits. This is my first "big" project I've done with the rough sawn lumber, I know its not big, but at 64 and working by myself its rewarding.

And if you notice, on this end of the building there is now NO door, started with a drive through door, then a walk door, but I want this building mainly for storage. So after much thought during the building process I eliminated the door completely so I could install full width shelves for more storage..
