Oh, and for kicks I found this picture of what that concrete pad started as, an old dog run..

Sorry bout the sideways picture.. no amount of editing on my end, that I have found , will change it. The only way for me to get an upright picture on this forum is to take the picture with my phone laid down sideways!!

Good job turning a old concrete pad into something very useful and nice looking!

Eliminating the walk-in door will not detract from your grade. A+ anyway.

A guy who builds a hip roof is no rookie. Glad to see you still have the knack to get the whole job right.

Thanks for the Kudos guys, I like the way it turned out as well!

And that's a Pella window in there. $300 worth, someone had ordered it at lowes and never picked it up, got it for 50 bucks! YAY!

So this project is completed other than running electric in and installing circuits. A very satisfying project seeing as it all started with standing trees on my property, cut them down, ran them through my little samill to make the lumber I needed. All the wood on this building was from the property other than the OSB on the roof, and the plywood on the soffits. This is my first "big" project I've done with the rough sawn lumber, I know its not big, but at 64 and working by myself its rewarding.

And if you notice, on this end of the building there is now NO door, started with a drive through door, then a walk door, but I want this building mainly for storage. So after much thought during the building process I eliminated the door completely so I could install full width shelves for more storage..

I really like it. We started with a 12x20, then a 30x40, and last year added a 24 x 32 tractor canopy.

Did you really build this thing in the 3 or 4 days you've been posting? Amazing if so. But, I must say, you need some working pics of yourself too, because it looks like your wifey did all the work. :)

Thanks, Yeah I have 5 outbuildings now unless you include the pool cabana then its 6. And no I did not get it built in 3-4 days, if you look at post 36 above I even mention that. I actually started building the building on January 22 (I checked date stamps on pictures) and finished just a couple days ago. But I started cutting lumber and prepping the pad before that. And I don't have any pics of me building because before this pandemic I was the only one around so no one to take the pictures.

That battery framer works good eh? I got an older paslode but have been considering moving to battery nailer since i have the 20v dewalt stuff now...

I love it! Shoots full or clipped head nails , same 20v battery and no gas cylinder

More time to answer now: I had a porter cable pneumatic gun that took a dump I needed to replace, I do enough building remotely I wanted a gun I could run without a compressor. First thing I looked to was a Pasload , I did not even know there was battery only guns out there (been retired for a while). Found out there was and research led me to this Dewalt, I have other Dewalt tools and are fairly happy with the quality so I pulled the trigger. It'll shoots 2 3/8 to
3 1/4" nails and does it well. My biggest complaint is the cheesy bag it comes in, no protection, no place to put the charger etc! If you can get the kit with the hard case I think thats better. I tracked down a hard case made for this gun so now I'm a happy camper!
