mf 2135 industrial
just brought a mf 2135 industrial (9A35824) with 200 loader and 222 backhoe. sat outside for 10yrs. Perkins 3cyl diesel, full hydraulic steering , squared off rear fenders. rear disc brakes Pulled head as engine full of water from open exhaust.
got engine running ok. Hydraulics were cobbled using rear pto for hydraulic power for loader and backhoe. Ive ordered the front pump and driveshaft

Need help/advise with

Replacement hood and side panels where to get one p/ns. 512953m91 available is too short 43" approx. My hood should be 50" long x24"

The loader leaks down when moving the control lever and is dangerous. nas anyone a workaround replacement option to replace.

The lower link that is on the left axle for the 3ptlift is missing. does the axle housing have to be removed to install a new one?

The axle housing does have to be removed to replace the pin. Unfortunately
Your hood may be a two piece hood. A short section over the battery. cI'm guessing but some M.F. did have two sections. The 7" remaining between 43" and 50" doesn't seem wide enough the battery section though.
Are the side panels the correct 50" length?

The leakdown could be bad o rings in the control valve. All those years sitting and getting dried out.

Thank you for the prompt reply and help. The side panels are approx 50" long. ive researched some photos and it looks like its a 203 Workbull, however the s/n doesnt reflect this. Ive managed to get original parts manuals for the 202, 203, 204, 205 and 2135 approx 1966 printing and most part numbers start with 185, 184 and dont cross over. The hood p/n sI need is 185028m92 with side panels 194458m1 and 184968m91. this is a one piece hood with a side hinge. These numbers may be superceded.

Ill have a look at the bucket /lift control lever and check on a reseal.

On your tractor. I'm not sure when the square fenders came in but your front end , grill and fenders and dash are the main identifiers. By reading your already on top of that. Fenders can get changed but the front end and dash are less likely. Although Frankenstein's are built. You can usually tell what is original to the tractor by looking at paint layers and what has aged consistently. Changed parts stand out.
If there is any information that I can get from my tractor to help you identify yours let me know. I'm fairly new at Massey Ferguson Tractors.
There are forum members here that know them inside out.
I'm learning mine inside out because it was used hard and the engine failed. To show how things can get changed . If the square fenders were less expensive I would have ordered a new pair for my 1962 203. But I ordered the clamshell type.

One good thing is that there are a lot of fairly inexpensive parts for these models. I just completely rebuilt my engine and put all new gears and bearings in the transmission for less than $1,500. Parts and about $350 in machine shop work.
One thing that I have found is that when vendors list tractors that a part fits the industrial models aren't always put on the list. That makes part searches a little more work.
The Perkins diesel is a great engine with rebuild kits available online. Do your homework on model changes. You are already getting a taste of that.
The new tractors are nice but the electronics keep me buying the older models. I also like older models .

The hydraulic control valves on older tractors are pretty basic. If you cant find a rebuild kit the O-rings and seals can usually be matched. A kit is always better
You probably also have a valve to divert the hydraulics from the front end loader to the backhoe.

Let me throw some more into the mix. It has the 203 type grill, manual shuttle lever on lhside dash, single stage clutch, pto lever is engage/ neutral. brake pedals that pivot below the footplate and operate disc rear brakes via rods. it has a floor mounted throttle and dash mount lever inter connected. The steering has no mechanical linkage to the 2 steering cylinders mounted on l&r side of tractor . The steering valve is contained under the dash sheetmetal above the cylindrical air filter housing. The front axle is solid with 1.5" dia spindles. It has the 3pt lift and as mentioned the previous owner ran the hydraulics off the pto fed to the front bucket valve set and split off to the rear hoe and power beyond is used.
