Thanks for some responses that 251si sounds like a nice machine, but I have a nice mig welder while it still has Tig I'm thinking maybe I would get a better Tig without so many processes . Also not sure on only pulse Tig on it.

As far as the 210 and the 255 prob won't do much stick with it , and the 255 has sine wave not even sure diff in all the waves yet and seems like has couple other features.
Only shows two types of stick rods not sure why?

I picked up a 251si during the November sale to get the synergic and migl pulse capability. Didn't need the TIG as i already purchased a 255EXT for the wave form flexibility. Had already ordered a 230i, but then saw the features on the 251 Si and decided it was worth the extra $350. Everlast redirected my 230i to another customer mid dhipment and replaced it with the 251SI for just the price difference. I used it yesterday to repair a farm gate hinge. The synergic process put down some nice beads between the 1/8" hinge strap and the 24ga tubing

The Lightning 275 would just about be the equivalent to the 255EXT and 251SI pair. (no sine wave form, pulse only on TIG, but Synergic on all modes, 251SI form factor?[)

One benefit of the 255EXT is that it is slightly smaller and has 1 more wave form (sine wave). I had to carry a stick welder power source to stitch together some rebar, and was thankful that the 255EXT was smaller and lighter than the 251SI. I've been very pleased with the performance of the Everlast line. I also have a their 60i PowerPlasma.

The 275 doesn't have as low of Amp operation/start, though it is still fairly acceptable for lower amp work.

Thanks Mark. One of the reasons i purchased the 255EXT was the low range for thin aluminum and stainless. I'm very happy with my choices.

Do you have to use a cooler for the 210 and 255ext?
I see it's prepped for it but don't know if it's a must? I would rather not

If you weld at 200 amps or over you need a water cooler. The largest air cooled torch that is commonly available is only rated for 200 amps. The torches are water cooled, not the units themselves. People often think the welders have to be water cooled as well. But that is not the case. Both units come with air cooled torches. The 210 comes with a 125 and a 200 amp air cooled torch. The 255ext comes with a 125 air cooled torch, and a 250 amp water cooled torch.

You offer a stand alone cooler that will adapt to my Lincoln Invertig and does it come with a torch as well?
