Obvious by your pic that wheel was never properly welded.

You don't need to take the tractor to a shop unless it's a warranty fix. If not warranty you just need to buy a new wheel and transfer the tire.

Called the dealer. It's a warrant item. I'll bring him the tire and he'll remount the rubber on the new rim. Glad it was a simple fix. We need the tractor to spread stone on our driveway before company comes. The seat ripped too. I forgot to mention that.

U bet. I don't use it all that much but when I need it I'm happy to have it. Great tractor. I had no experience when I bought it. If I had to do it again I'd probably go up one size. Paid under 16k with delivery. Can't beat that

I'm trying to diagnose why the wheel failed. Hoping it's just a bad weld.

The backhoe would put a LOT of stress on the rear wheel. That probably sped up the failure.

Interesting. That is something I never heard discussed here with all the talk of Hoes. Always the integrity of the hookup and so forth.

This is my left rear wheel, inside and out. No sign of width adjustment.



I've been pretty rough with it. All I have is slopes, so these have been at all different angles, loaded FEL or not, with and without BH or Tiller. Lots of uneven ground due to moles and rain runoff.

Because of the added "swinging" weight when carrying the hoe and because of the side drag on the tractor when using the hoe.
