Just added a ZD1511 72 SD Deck to my current ZD1211 72 RD

I’ve got 5.1hrs on the clock with 2 partial cuttings.

I’m very impressed with power on my Big Hills, Banks & Extremely Thick Grass :shocked:

It’s a Lot More Machine than my ZD1211 & the 4cyl Turbo is Way Smoother running :thumbsup:

I think it's advertised to also have a better seat than the 1211. I used to wait till my grass was 8" to 12" high before mowing but wife whining and 15 year old loves to drive Grandson has changed my mowing to more like my neighbors mowing schedules of weekly or two weeks at the most. I usually help mow so still have about the same butt time but spread out over longer time now.

The 1511 Air Ride Seat cushions the hard hits better than the 1211 seat.

The seat itself is the same on both units.

The 1511 doesn’t loose any rpm’s on hills or in thick grass like my 1211.

I’m afraid this 4cyl Turbo 1511 is going to use a LOT more fuel than my 1211.

I don’t care to feed a top quality machine with Muscle tho.

My ZD1511 does use more fuel than my previous ZD331 on per hour basis. However, I mow the same lawns much faster with the ZD1511. Consequently, I don't think there is much difference in fuel useage between the two machines cutting the same lawns.

My dealer probably didn’t completely fill the tanks ?

I’ll report back after a fill up & another cutting session.

I filled the right tank today.
The left tank was full & the valve was closed on that side so that’s why the fuel gauge went to empty so fast.

I fluid filled the rear tires today like I did my ZD1211.

13gals of water / RV Antifreeze mix per tire : 100 lbs per side for increased traction on my hills & ditches.

You are getting close to your first regen if like my ZD1511 which regens between 10 and 11 hours each time.

Be interesting to see how much better traction/stability is with the added weight.

It went thru a regen brand new as I was picking it up from dealer.
They claimed because battery voltage was low from setting on their lot

It regenned again ystrda at 6.9hrs

I just kept mowing at Wide Open Throttle.
