On the bright side, if you ever have to sell, you'll get enough to buy a nice place in Michigan orchard country and pocket enough change to last you a lifetime. :)
You think?

This place is 5 miles up the road where farmland transitions to forest. My site would never be as gorgeous but I'll bet he's spent far more than his asking price to get to what he has there.

Who remembers the strobe cardboard discs for turntables, I used one as the marked turntable I had was marked for the USA market.

Both of mine work ok, Panasonic & a Dual 1229 but I don't have to fudge for 50Hz power/strobe. My brother's 40+ YO record shelf is ~4' wide full of 'classic rock' (early '70s) ~2x my collection and w/o all the Classical Music (symphony, opera, concertos :p). Digitizing them would take too long. Shure V-15 Type II cartridges tracking at 1 1/2 gram keep you stepping lightly when spinning vinyl.

I get paper strobe discs from a guy in Denmark that I buy replacement needles from.

In MI there's that one cash crop that's illegal in most other states. It's bringing some 'ex-pats' back here to 'grow'.

If the card has to be entered manually they should plus he said it was a debit card so there should be a PIN number. My suspicions are that some 'friend' of the owner got access to her card and info and used it. May be why Sears was willing to reverse charges but not overdraft fees.

In FLORIDA? One time deal? It could have been skimmed or “borrowed” but they still shouldn’t have run it without the card.

So not only did the clerk key in the 'incorrect' number for the card in hand and came up with your friends CC # but the "security code" on the back of the card in hand was the same too????

Amazing

Not all use that CVT on the back of the card

Thanks! I'm glad to see we agree. I think it's very unusual that not only did the CC # match but the Security # also matched up. An amazing coincidence!

Legal here, after lots of permits and paperwork. And obstacles such as you can't use any banks per Federal rules.

After legalization passed, I got a nice letter from a real estate broker. It said you have over 10 acres, would you like to lease a small portion for someone to grow on?

Oh heck no!!! I don't want to be exposed to a home invasion robbery in the middle of the night at harvest time!

I didn't respond to the letter.

My niece passed the Bar a couple of years ago. She's already making a good living defending idiots who have plenty of money but didn't follow all the rules so their grow has put them on the wrong side of drug dealer laws.

I had my CC hacked a couple of years ago, they used it to buy a $90 gift card to Macy’s and they didn’t have the security code, either. For that reason Macy’s ate the charge. I often wonder how many people don’t even notice a charge like that, so the thieves keep right on siphoning money off.Twelve or so years ago when her card was used things were different and a lot more lax.

You have more backing from the bank with a credit vs debit card, which is why I brought her experience up in the first place.

Very true. Way more laws protecting CCs than debit cards. Your friend was lucky, many people were SOL with almost no recourse when their debit card got hacked.

I had a CC hacked a couple years ago too. Idiots bought some expensive headphones from Amazon and had them shipped to my address!! Dunno if it was someone local who hoped to be a porch pirate, but I was home when the package was delivered. Discover was very prompt about cancelling the card and issuing me a new one with a different acct. #.

Folks around here buy 'dwarf' fruit trees, plant them to get max Winter wind and sunlight, and furthest from possible pollinators.

After a few seasons, the trunks are as tall as I am but they're pruned to be needlessly tall & narrow vs short & broad. (like folks do with lilacs )

5-6' tall trunks with most growth a bunch of 10-12' water sprouts don't look like 'dwarf'. Many remind of that Slim Jim guy with the foot tall spike hairdo.

I'm old-fashioned and still read a lot. Sharing a pruning guide can be fruitless when facebook time doesn't allow perusing it.

California, thanks for the free tour. You're good with whatever you use for a camera. :)

Dwarf trees are grafted onto quince roots. The water shoots are not apple at all, but related.

We are not very happy with the English person that introduced the starling and the sparrow over here either.

You're not the only one Mate... perhaps the same bloke did the same thing down here.

Plus, someone introduced the Indian Myna. Fortunately I haven't seen any of them here in Tassie.
