Tractor Insurance

Hello all! I just purchased an LS MT122 this last month. I was wondering what are suggested insurance companies I can use to cover the tractor and the implements? Also what is the average price for full coverage of a Sub compact Tractor? Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of variables in your question. Things such as where you live, value of equipment, will it remain on your property or be used in multiple locations as well as a few others. If it's just for use at your home location, I would start by checking with your homeowners insurance company to see what it would cost to add it to that policy. That ended up being my best option.

If you keep it at your home, it is probably covered under your home owners policy. All my tractors are but I made sure when I got my policy. Call your agent. Progressive covers a lot of motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs, not sure about tractors.

I have my tractor specifically listed in my homeowners policy, or at least I did. I need to look at that when it renews in a few months. Too lazy to dig out the policy from the kitchen cabinet.

I went with Case New Holland Industrial for Insurance. I don't have a home on my property yet so getting it added to home owners wasn't happening. Also there are some limitations when added to a homeowners policy, I don't think they will cover damage caused by operation. "crashing/breaking". And certainly won't cover it to/from/at dealer for service.

KY Farm Bureau will not cover an open tractor. It must inside a shelter, barn or shed, and the storage enclosure insured.

Unless your using for a business and taking it on other peoples property, why insurance?

Since retiring and downsizing, my homeowner's policy endorsement covers them. Not very expensive. Had State Farm, now Farmer's; both cover.

I need to check on that. They insured mine when I kept them under a tarp.
There was no shed or barn at that time to put them in.

They may consider a tarp as being a shelter, but my local agent did not tell me that.
