:drink: This is no lie; I work for 10 cents on the dollar, profit.

Are you working for 10 percent of gross money handled or retaining only 10 percent of the profits? If I built a 180,000 house for 140,000 I’d consider 40,000 the gross profit and whatever I kept after taxes and expenses as net profit.

No, the cost of the door will be another $5000.00 with the tax added.

Well, that's obviously some kind of special luxury level door. I paid about $6K for my whole garage including concrete and the overhead door. Installed.

I've never been that affluent that I'd spend that much to replace an existing door. My whole garage was about $6K but only 24x32x10. Wife and I built it and also poured the floor using a cheap mixer and a wheel barrow. That included the 8x16' wooden roll-up door with opener.

My trusses alone cost $7,000.00 (Canadian) It is a large garage. A pic from last year storing 6 vehicles over the winter iphone 141.JPG

I was just quoted $3800 for a 30x40 slab 4" thick for my pole barn.

Good price.
American labor?

We have a guy named Pedro doing work for some homes in our neighborhood. Hes an expert at everything  from tree work to concrete. Hes a foreign national and he works for 1/2 the cost of American owned businesses because he has little to no overhead. He’s a very hard worker. Has no problem working on Sundays, July 4th, after dark, whenever we are all hoping for a little peace and quiet-maybe a graduation party. I’m wondering when he will be buying a snowplow for his truck and taking my snow plowing customer list from me. :)
The most disappointing thing is my wealthy neighbors see no problem in hiring him

Not saying thats what your quote was from or making any accusation whatsoever. Just curious because I couldnt match that bid.
