Don't worry... wife's car. I drive a 2006 F-150.

For those who care... I put my wife in the heaviest sedan I know... 4500lb. Recipe... I buy a used 7 series coming off a 3yr lease for about 40 cents on the dollar and keep it 10 years and then sell it. Done this 3 times so far. '88, '98, and presently '08.

This next turn will work out to a $3K a year vehicle cost plus maintenance costs. Buy it CPO (certified pre-owned) and BMW doubles the warranty (years/miles).

She drives in luxury and I feel better about her chances should something go terribly bad. Works for me.
Guess I cant talk too much, I let the wife get a used(private party) Land Rover LR3 awhile ago, it wasn't too bad but it lost a lot of value.
She stopped working to take care of the kids and in the last year she started driving a lot more running them around. Between taking premuim and getting 13mpg around town it was hurting the budget.
Ended up replacing it with a 2011 Subaru Outback earlier this year, of course she hasn't been driving much since due to the current virus paranoia.

It's the newest car we've ever owned and so far has been averaging 20-21mpg around town, still miss the LR some days.

I used to wonder about hoarders but I have come to understand how this can happen. Here’s is one item for an example.

I bought a bunch of blacksmith hardies from an old fellow many years ago. He threw them all in this box for me to carry them home. The box was just so cool, at the time I valued it as much as the hardies.

I put it on the top shelf out of the way and it has been in my parts room ever since. So I figured this is just plain DUMB. Cool vintage box sitting on the shelf (taking up space) and not even being USED to store anything.

And THAT is the type of stuff I have been dealing with lately.

Here is the ad for the box:

Good thing she didn’t get the supercharged 5L. You would never been able to pry her hands off the steering wheel and been still buying premium gas.

Na, I don't like the Range Rovers.
I wouldn't mind an LR4 with the na 5L, just don't like the inability to get access to the vehicle systems without having a factory scan tool that you can't buy outside a dealer.

Even the '06 LR3 was hard to access certain systems.

2) beside the truck/dolly or the ground they sit on, does that shake anything but itself?

1 the before pic looked BETTER :)

2 anything it was bolted to. The buyer was going to use it for a screen deck. Of course me being the best salesman on duty at the time, I UPSOLD him .......

I convinced him he needed these Metro quick couplers for his equipment. They attach and uncouple under pressure with minimum effort.

Didn't know there was such a thing. Sure would make re-attaching my backhoe a lot easier. I go to great lengths to ensure that there will be no change in cylinder positions before detaching it, as it's a REAL pain if there is built up pressure later...

Add a bleeder valve. Mine has one and it makes it much easier to hook up. Just a quick crack open and closed and you're all set. Typically about a table spoon of fluid comes out.

Now the search is on for one inch plus aluminum plate to make a couple of benches.
