LS MT357HC
I bought this in March from my local Kubota dealer. I went with the 25 series because of the rocky soil that we have. It's rated up to 90hp. My salesman told me that "you cannot hurt a 25 series". Well even though I love the way it grades and scrapes the perimeter around our place the scarifier option is the weak link. The two inner most scarifiers have broken through the steel channel. The other four scarifiers have deformed the metal to some extent. I'm not sure how a 57hp hydro tractor could cause this. It's like an implement from TSC even though I paid $2,300 for it.

So what do you guys think? Have I abused this by using the scarifiers in rocky soil or is Land Pride stuff overrated?

Assuming Land Pride tells me to jump in a lake on my warranty claim, what is the best fix? Cut out and weld in new metal? I want it stronger than new so it doesn't happen again.

I'm calling my dealer tomorrow. Hopefully they go to bat for me.

Thanks for any advice.

PS for some reason I cannot edit my profile. My tractor is a 57hp LS MT357HC hydro.

What did the shanks look like? Were you using the ones for the box blade? If it is rated for 90hp and torn apart by your LS I would expect them to replace it. If not it sure would be embarrassing.

To me if it has scarifiers it should be able to tear up hard packed rocky material. I'm not an engineer but to my eye that construction does not come close to a 90 hp rated piece of ground engagement equipment. Shame on Land Pride !!! The shanks should bend before they tear out. This is how my box blade is built. It is rated to go on my 56 hp tractor.

That is disappointing. I have a standard duty Mahindra box blade I bought at a dealer dissolve sale rated for 60 horses and it stops me in my tracks. I use it behind an L4060. It’s designed just like that.

I agree with Gordon, shame on Landpride.

If you are still making payments on that, the Kubota insurance should cover this.
I have the same land plane that you do and this doesn't look good.

Unpopular opinion, looks like you were hauling butt and hit something solid. Anything can be broken.

Nope. I don't go fast even without the scarifiers. The other four scarifier slots are starting to deform as well.

None of the 6 scarifiers are deformed at all. They were included when I bought it new 4 months ago. Three of them have their replaceable tips broken off.

If you have been running the rippers all the way down and possible with the top link shortend to get as much shank in the ground as possible I could see that happening.
Also even in normal operation with the shanks lowered all the way when only one shank hits a large rock it will put a lot of impact force on everything.
That said that looks to be kind of light construction for being "rated" for 90 horse,
the last time I looked at blade HP ratings they had 2 one for two wheel drive and one for 4wd and also a max weight on the tractor.
