I had a 3pt forklift briefly for my L3200. The lift capacity of the forklift ended up the same as my loader. I ended up selling it as it didn't get me much for the extra complexity.

I could lift an IBC totem 1/3, maybe only 1/4 full on each, it's been a while. Whatever it was it was the same amount. The 3pt stalled out while the cylinder in the forklift was still going strong. I didn't want to overload & damage the 3pt so I never messed with seeing how much the forklift itself would do. It was a bit further back as i use a quick hitch. Might have gotten more lift without the QH, but again a lot more hassle.

I like the clamping bit on your forks. Thought about doing something like that on the forks for my new L4060. But that eats up lift capacity that's still in short supply. That & i have way to many projects already.View attachment 663633View attachment 663632View attachment 663631

Those extensions are a little scary. I wouldn't put much weight on them, one looks bent already.

Yes it is and I have plans to stiffen them up. I may just remove them and make something up that is much heavier duty. I wouldn't consider lifting anything with the end of the forks like they are.

Can you fix your attachment pictures so that we can see them. I agree about overloading the 3pth. Breaking anything back there would be expensive to fix. The forks have axwidth range of about 2 to 6 feet. They will grab in both directions.

Unless I'm missing something...I'm surprised that there is not anyone making a little smaller/lighter versions of these for the (non SSQA) CUT market...even if they only had say a 6'-8' max height lift...if they were reasonably priced they would "sell like hotcakes" IMO...

I saw a used set for sale up in NH recently on the internet. The guy is asking $1500 for them. They were only about a 5 to 6 foot lift. There was no horizontal hydraulics on it.

I've seen these and other mods...I was referring to a made product not a re-purposed mod...the ability of being able to lift a pallet higher than typical 3PH lift arms is what would make them a seller IMO...mainly for those that do not have SSQA loaders...

They do make those lighter forklift for tractors. Not exactly for SCUTs though but can work. It's used a lot in orchards to carry and load the boxes full of fruit. I don't know exactly the name of the boxes but it's the size of a IBC tote, but half of the height.

This one does have the dumper attachment, but it can quickly be removed and it's just the forks then. It's fitted to a TYM T393

And a video of a slightly bigger forklift on a slightly bigger tractor but barely bigger than the TYM. It's a 70HP Antonio Carraro with a reversible operators platform that makes for a very nice off-road forklift.

JimR, Wow what a neat find!! Sure wish I could run across something like that, would sure make high hedge trimming a lot easier and faster. As another said, I could find many different uses for them! Good one for you and good luck in sprucing it up to your spec's.
