Excellent video of taking down the tree!!!! That's very dangerous work. You did it professionally!!!! I've taken down several similarly with my tractor. Calm, rational thought is required. Especially in aiming the tree toward the correct path. Worst case is a tree that's halfway down and lodged in nearby trees. Then it gets very dangerous. Good job!!!!

We've getting a lot of lightning, thunder activity this morning. So far just light rain. But I think it's just not got here yet. I've been doing some grader work for the past few days anticipating the rain.

Hate to see your project get stalled. Was hoping you'd be able to get in a good dry week of work. Things would look a lot different there if you could.

We got a break in the storm and curiosity got the best of me. Unfortunately I found what I expected. Looks like lossibly two more days of rain and not much I can do but assess the damage when it stops.

Oh Bummer..... That hurts.... The way the forcast looks it may have your dam completely cut by the time it quits. Bummer. If I can be of any help let me know.

I'd have to make two trips but I would haul my tractor and scraper over there and help you if needed.

I appreciate the offer. My only concern will be getting the compaction needed on the channel that gets cut if it goes too deep.

Yep. Hard to get compaction with a CTL. Defies it's logic.

Not being critical here, just offering armchair quarterback advice. When you get it restored and have to stop again, cut a spillway at one end on solid ground. Then the runover won't wash out your filled dam.

I admire your tenacity. This project is lingering just like the Corona. Good name choice!!!

Yep. Will probably drag on through fall. Just hard to find more than an hour or two at a time to work on it. Trying to find out how much rain we got. Lots of localized flooding in town. Seeing water in places I've never seen it before.

If you setup your syphon pipe like this it will automatically start draining.
