Has anyone had problems yanking stumps out with an eHydro?

make a circle of PRIMACORD around the trunk, and detonate it, that will disconnect all the roots, and you can then easily pull the stump out!..

I have yanked out hundreds of hawthornes back in the 70s with a 2wd 42pto no loader tractor. Conventional, large frame typical of the time. Used more the weight and momentum of the tractor, than tractive effort. Otherwise, there would be a lot of ugly tire dug holes. You would push in the clutch just as the chain tightened up. I can't see doing that with a hydro.

We had a farmer in this area die that way, buried the clevis in his back, and he bled out. Nothing anyone could do to save him.

Seems like every little town across the USA has that story.

Seems like every little town across the USA has that story.

More than just a "legend", the local feed store owner knew the guy. His neighbor got stuck in the mud, trying to pull him out was sadly his last actions on earth. Things can happen way too fast.

I get compost delivered by the tri axle and 18 wheeler load every fall to fertilize. One time the 18 wheeler got stuck, so the tri axle tried to unstuck him. They used a chain and both trucks were nose to nose. The tri axle went backwards and the chain went taught and just snapped. It didn’t fly through the windshield. It just broke and harmlessly fell to the ground.
I’m not condoning using this method, just an observation.

Every town across the country also seems to have the guy killed standing under the raised loader story.

When yanking trees/stumps, it all comes down to technique, speed, and endurance.

If the front wheels want to come off the ground, you are doing something wrong.

One less guy to violate the planet so unnecessarily!
