Well yeah a dozer is nice to have and works good for what you guys are doing and are able to have several machines. But lb for lb pretty hard to beat a excavator for digging up rocks, stumps and making ditches, next best thing is tractor with back-hoe.

I’d 10-1 rather have an excavator vs dozer but an excavator can’t compete with a dozer for grading a road bed.

I've had several dozers over the years, from a CAT D-7 on down.

These days I have a lowly 450,

But, it's been a very good dozer and keeps getting the job done.

5 gallons. It would have to be dehydrated otherwise freight would be too expensive.

Around here you can find a usable dozer for 10K to 15K even less if your willing to gamble it will get you through one project. But there aren't any excavators in that price range. They want 25k to 30k for a beat up mini-X which for me is unjustifiable even considering how handy they are. It is too bad fun big boy toys are so expensive. Parents don't realize how mean it is to let kids play in the sandbox with toy equipment.

No that dont count your using two different implements hook-ups when only one is needed. I'm a fan of one tool does all, so when I'm ten miles down in the woods and want to dig some dirt, right there right now, that cant be done with your either or, in my uttermost humble opinion that happens to be a absolute fact jack, now for a dip in the cool pool.............

While one tool fits all does "pretty good".. dedicated tools do a better job. and then a dip in the pool.. it does a good job too!:D

Yup thats square alright and you almost got the growth rigs centered to, you ever count them or is the pool keeping you to busy............

I've not counted them.. no reason, just haven't.

I'm going to start a GoFundOldPath so that he can buy a pool. Anybody care to contribute? ;) :stirthepot:

I'll throw in my 2 cents!
