Building my own sprayer

I use a 55 gallon barrel, 2" gasoline Pacer pump with a boomless nozzle. I get 40' per swath. I can cover about 5 acres per barrel. Hooks up 3 point hitch, no PTO to fool with.

What type of spray do you get for trees. It was stated that orchard spraying was part of the need. Boom pressure and high reach nozzle pressure are very different. I read all the post as I have some 40’ish pecans trees I need to spray.

I bought fruit tree spray from TSC. I sprayed our two small peach trees when they blossomed in May and then we had a hard freeze. So we will not have any peaches this year.

Like I said above, I ended up buying a 110 gallon sprayer with 30 foot booms. I was hesitant to get a boomless sprayer because of wind drift of the spray. But maybe I should have because it is very easy to get to close to trees or bushes with a boom sticking out 15 feet from the tractor.

I am just spraying pasture fields. I have a second sprayer set up with a 2" pacer pump that I spray fence lines with. I used a water hose and a regular handheld nozzle.

That works great for you, but totally unhelpful for the orchard spraying or my need for pecan trees!
I really do not want to buy a $900+ sprayer for 2 trees once a year!

I don't think I would be wasting money trying to make a sprayer for just 2 trees when a cordless drill, a small drill pump, and water hose in a five gallon bucket would do the job!
