The ghost says use Flour to keep the dough from sticking.

Up to 74° already and 100% humidity with no rain. Everything is wet, walk outside you sweat.

Sitting on porch wasn’t bad, but decided to take advantage of cooler barn to reposition my security camera. It had dropped down aiming too low, pushed it up with broom handle it would fall down again. So moved ranger out of way to move extension ladder. It was up against back tractor tire, but didn’t move tractor. 3 or 4 times up/ down ladder got it tightened in a good viewing angle.
Started tractor to make sure it would start. backhoe stabilizer dropped half down. Haven’t used tractor since April. Wow.
Started into house and wife was going to garden to pick, so went out to help. Took the tree puller chain to the barn. That thing is heavy.
Helped pick a few corn, hoed a few weeds, took corn and peppers to house while wife picked beans.
Took lopers and cut a few low hanging branches. By then didn’t feel like trying the tree puller.
Shower felt good. Water still hot. UPS had tripped again. It powers my analog security cameras.

Good morning to all! Low was 54, after a quick storm passed through.... "severe T-storm warning" was posted, but it never really hit us, just a brief 5 minute rain. The high hit 98 yesterday, going for mid 90s today. 7F7459CF-CC2B-4051-AAC1-308D2523981F.jpeg221D4EB2-6195-4A03-A0AB-0D48A5CE24E9.jpeg

The skies looked nasty, but that was about it.

Happy birthday to Ken and Randy!

RS, you're really making the rest of us look bad!😀 you sure got a lot done!

RNG, another project checked off... hope it works out with the tank.

Drew, good luck with the storm, I think moving to the other site is a good move!

BEF, enjoy the Wilkens... which one are you trying?

The knee and shoulder are much better this morning. Did the honey-do list yesterday, so kept everything moving at an easy pace. The knee still "went out" twice, but just gave a quick jolt of pain.... no falls!

The neighbor asked if I would help him "spot" the placement of his auger today. He is fencing about a 2 acre pasture, my guess is about 80 posts. Not sure how many he is expecting to do today. I'm not sure how long I want to be in the heat.... or standing on the knee...

Everyone have a great day!

Wifey just added a few honey -do items this morning.... I had a couple of " me-do's" that I thought of, but now can't remember what they were.... I am gonna have to put a pad / pencil by the bed so when I wake up with a "to-do" thing, I can write it down. They seemed really important at the time....

I sometimes make a list. My brother went to a "motivation" weekend retreat back in the '70's, and they taught him to make lists, and to be sure and scribe through each task as you complete it. They said the satisfaction of accomplishment and scratching through the items was a motivating factor. Hope you can figure which tasks to get done and your knee cooperates.

Ron, you are right, I will need a nap. Beautiful picture, thank you.

RIP, I hope your drama is subsiding.

Wng, glad you got some rain. How far from coast are you? Will you get some Isaias rain?

Drew, hope 45 miles is enough. It can be, depending on storms path. Sometimes they overhype them, but better safe than sorry.

Weed and limbs trimmed, and the dump run, of course.
Went to hook the flail mower to the tractor, but the drive shaft was frozen...bit of rust. The drive shaft doesn't have a shield, so rain can get it pretty wet. I doused it with PB Blaster and should be OK in a couple hours. However, the heat is coming in so, mowing the field will be a tomorrow morning job.
Time to kick back...eat something and a few beers...:)

The obvious solution to that problem is for you to man the tractor seat and for him to spot the auger...

67°F and .18 inches rain
Trip to town. Restock at brewery, HD, take my iPad in to Mac store to check finicky lightning port. Likely a couple other stops.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Well so much for giving advise on bee’s. Got stung by 2 yellow jackets while pulling weeds in garden. They will not be stinging me or anybody else. Did the diesel kill on them. Did not wait until dark. Finger and lower leg are sore.

Mostly. Tires not loaded. I imagine damage would be worse if so.

If they are at a place where you can't throw diesel you can also squirt very soapy (dishwater soap) water on them.

Finished digging out and slightly tilting four sprinkler heads in the irrigation system. Now I won't have false rain readings on my weather station.

I have reservations in the lap pool later, ought to wake me up, also test the new heart study Apple Watch.

Drew you can aways just point your rv into the wind, should be able to withstand at least 80mph winds. Do not be near a building with a flat roof that has gravel on it. I did that once and the gravel broke out 4 windows in a company car.

Whipper's arch enemy, my neighbor, was weed eating around the fence and Whipper only barked once when the collar gave her an audible warning. After that just a few muttered grumbling sounds. So far we are impressed with the collar. Hopefully in another 2 weeks no collar will be necessary.

You would get a big improvement in stability though. My XR4046HC had loaded tires as does my XR4155HC. Both have R4 tires. The only damage I get is turning too sharply in 4WD.

My NH TL100A, with R1's, has been fluid filled since I bought it.

Don,
Seems you are pleased with the Tempest. Wonder how Drew could mount on his RV?
How you doing with your Circles? Are you doing the Breathe app?
The water clearing is interesting.
Is there a Tempest solution for the Watch?

Yes, will reconsider loading once I switch to R4s. I have a couple of places I mow that a bit more pucker with my LS than previous tractors. Just takes a little longer to mow up and down vs across.

I would keep the R1s if you have any side slopes.

I make and keep lists. Still got the punch list of things to finish on my house from 1997.

The Tempest comes with two bases and three ways to mount. On a 1" pole, a slot for a nail or screw head, and a threaded area like a camera has for a tripod.

They have notified me that my circles start Monday. I'm practicing. I filled them the first day but today I had to take the watch off during the morning because my wrist was in muddy holes. The breathing app slows my heart rate about 5 BPM.

The tempest app is not on the watch. It can only be on a pad or phone. Maybe the next version.

I tried to use my wife's phone as a hot spot to make a watch call but it does not work that way apparently. If she gets one we could use the walkie talkie in the watch.

Have you figured out the watch flashlight? I just hit the flashlight and the face turned red.

I had the watch on when I had the phone on CarPlay navigation when I went to a store in Austin yesterday and it politely taps me on the wrist right before each turn.

Happy Birthday Randy and Ken!
Still hot and humid here with a broken air conditioner..tech came out yesterday and confirmed 20 something year old unit has given up the magic smoke. Need a replacement that we told him to order immediately.
Will keep the portable unit cranking. Stay safe and healthy all. Prayers for those in need.

My guess is that mounting the Tempest anywhere on the RV would result in erroneous rain and wind readings, and might also effect temperature readings, too. I was thinking more along the rigs RVers use to hold a satellite dish, but I don't know the details of those.

You got satellite TV for your RV yet, Drew? I can fix you up with a DishNetwork referral that'll save you a little money if you want...
