I thought he hired a concrete contractor to do it? The only thing I saw him do is walk around taking a selfie videos about his wifes concrete curb he had to do for her.

He said he hired "some help", I assumed he was in charge, and running the show. If those are "professionals" then he got boned. That is a very sloppy install for a professional.

The ironic part is he didn't know he got shafted. He even went so far as to recommend those guys. He was just so happy to get some concrete in his barn, he certainly overlooked some of the finer points. As they say "ignorance is bliss".

Very true. Maybe the price was right? Anyway, he sure seemed happy.

You know what happens when you assume. The whole point of the last 80 posts is he DID get “boned”. A bunch of us gave several different reasons why.
He hired a company to pour the concrete. I didn’t see him touch a tool. That’s a long reach from “The dude poured his own slab, for himself.“ All I see is a homeowner who hired a quick & dirty concrete contractor. It’s the contractor that did the pour, and probably the prep, too.

There also a good possibility that the home owner couldn’t afford a quality job, but it looks more like to me the contractor cut corners.

OK... He sure seemed happy at the end; I bet that rubs you the wrong way as well.

This debate has been about the quality of the hired concrete professionals. I don't recall discussing whether the OP was happy.

Always happy for people who get what they want.
That guy wanted a quick and dirty concrete job that will last a few years.
So Im happy for him, but that wasnt the premise of this thread. It was “tell me what you see here”, which was and remains- substandard concrete work.

Ignorance is bliss, eh?

Exactly. For all we know, the concrete malfunctioned and he could be in heated discussions with the contractor, who did all the work, or he could be living on borrowed time, ignorant of what will eventually happen if equipment is parked on it.

Yeah, that guy sure is blissful in his concrete job. I SAW a guy that was really happy. The concrete sucked... but, so do most posts on the subject.

The concrete police just showed up...
