What purpose do the restrictors serve?

The cylinders would move too fast for fine adjustments with light loads, and same went in float mode. Whatever size restrictor he used I'm very happy with it looks to be about .035"

Where can you buy those? Do they install inside the hose fittings or are they external?

The ones I provide are built into the cylinder adapter fittings taking up no more space than if there was no restrictor at all.

You can purchase separate orifice fittings here.

Lots of ways to do it. It can be an extra fitting with a small hole. My TnT hoses from FitRite have the restrictor built into a fitting on the hose. There are external adjustable needle valves. Some people basically put a washer in the hose, although I'm not a fan of something that could come loose.
