Just like the title says, my mower belt has rubbed a spot on these 2 hoses. Obviously, it would only happen when I'm mowing with the deck all the way up, which is rare.
But, it does happen.
I bought this new last year. My bx1800 that I had for almost 18 years never had this issue.
I'm assuming I can just zip tie them a little tighter, but I was messing with it this afternoon, and they don't have much play, they're pretty tight.
Is this just a goof from the factory?
Anyone else have to deal with this?
What's the best way to remedy this?
Thanks in advance IMG_20200729_223437.jpeg

I had a similar situation on an older b. If it were me I’d reroute them out of the way. Are they for a third function valve?

On my bx2200 the lines run under the engine in metal tubing and don't come anywhere close to the mower deck.

I do have a 3rd function that the dealer added. Makes sense that's what they are and not from the factory.

My 2380 does not have a 3rd function (or loader) and I don’t have those lines. From what I remember there is not a lot of options in that area for rerouting, is it still under warranty? Might talk to the dealer and see if they’ll make it right.

Wow, no one's ever dealt with this before?

Call your dad. He will bring over a bunch of zip ties and tie up the hoses so they will stop rubbing yet have enough slack as to not bind any moving parts.

That would be kind of hard to do, since he's been in the ground in south Georgia for over a year.
It would also be hard to do since there's absolutely zero extra slack in the hoses.
I guess you forgot you're posting on a tractor forum.
But regardless, you can go **** yourself.
