It looks like my wife's hometown of La Porte got hit pretty hard.

My juice has been out since 7 PM. Running the genny 1 hour out of 3 for the fridg and freezer. Funny, it didn't go out till about 10 minutes after the wind hit. Apparently, a branch on the wires had to get soaked before it shorted things out. This will be the longest stretch without juice since I have lived here for 23 years. Yes, there is a county and small town named after Pulaski and then we have Kosciusko County. Little wind damage in my immediate area, but NE and SE 5 miles, poles down, grain bins collapsed and considerable tree damage. Some areas had 70 to 80 mph winds, I'm guessing maybe 40 mph here. Moss's area was out of juice this morning from a storm last night. If he was restored, I bet he's out again and working off the Iphone.

Yeah that was quite the Derecho! It split into northern and southern parts and completely fizzled out by the time the front got over to southeast Michigan. Zero rain or wind here, but several inches of rain up north.

Weird storm. Bad stuff coming from Iowa was going to hit S WI but thank goodness it jumped down to Rockford IL. We didn't get the brunt of the storm but it sure looked like a Hurricane from the windows! The rain came hard and quick so the culverts were flowing and a river was flowing in the back yard. I'm glad we dodged a bullet here.

It was a non-event in South Bend. We had worse wind and damage early yesterday morning and there's still power outages and street lights from that. The one that came through last evening didn't do anything near us, just a bit of wind and rain. It was worse north, south, and west of us, though.
