Re: Why are cookies "Necessary to enhance my experience" when looking up pickup tires

The truth is that the manufacturers are losing in the long run. Rather than doing research so that I know what I would like before going to the retailer, I will go and tell them what I want and they will sell me what they feel like. My truck came with 265/70 car tires... I need something heavier than "P" rating, because those pop like balloons on the roads I drive. I like the General Grabber AT, but can't even find out if they are available in the configuration I need.Does anybody even make a load range C or D anymore? I ran "E"s on my Ranger which was a bit of overkill, and it rode like an 8N Ford.
I never had a flat though!

Why not just call a tire dealer and pick their brains? I won't spend time on research when a two minute call can often tell me, the meat and potatoes of what I want to know.

It's Sunday. Also, I don't like to take up somebody's time until I'm relatively certain they will get my business. At one time that was the advantage of the internet... I could do my research on my own dime.

True. I used to waste lot of sales peoples time. Now I ask permission to ask them a question. And try and know at least a little of what I am talking about, to not waste even more of their time.

I can't for the life of me find a nice chewy Peanut Butter cookie. How is this possible?
