BURN! HAHahahahaha

\pine, maybe time to just be quiet for a while. Do some listening & thinking. RSR has been incredibly patient with you, providing dozens of links to accredited research. You've provided nothing but conjecture.

FYI...rsr has done nothing but constantly repeat himself (ad nauseam) with the same crap that is almost entirely moot...
Those that have been sucking up and acting like the work he has stated he is doing is an omniscient of solving the Covid pandemic are looking quite foolish and gullible...!
Give me a break...too funny...!

You have never worn the uniform, you don't understand or you would not have made that comment.

Could you please clarify that statement? Uniform per military or uniform per LEO? The reality and truth is you have good and bad people in every profession no matter what "uniform" you wear.

In the old days it was an LEO's word agasint a defendent. Guess what? Everyone took the word of the LEO anytime of the day. For better or worse with today's technology and camera's, we're finding out that sometimes LEO's will actually lie about what actually happened.

I remember when I got pulled over for a seat belt infraction in Wilkesboro years ago. Ended up having 4 cherry tops with lights going sitting behind me for a $160 infraction. I thanked them with a smile having all those guys wanting to protect myself from my own stupidity when uncle sam wouldn't give me the same consideration when they gave me a rifle:laughing: That said, I did get pulled over outside the same town with a case of Yuengling beer I brought back from Pennsylvania I was taking to a guy (special brew not always found outside of PA) along with an AR I had just bought from a local gun shop. Same issue, seat belt, the the state trooper let me go with a warning (about the seat belt) even with the beer and AR in the VW. Always use to think it was the organization that made the man a prick, but came to the conclusion it's not the organization, but the man himself (and yes, I was wrong for not wearing a seat belt, flame away).

Did get pulled over in Utah for doing 26 in a 25 (yes, really) school zone and it was a Utah state trooper. I had a gun in the car (with permit) that had all 6 chambers loaded and I could of been fined for that as well. I paid the speeding ticket pretty much the same day at the courthouse, but... me and that trooper (younger guy, about my age in early 30's) spent a good 45 minutes talking on the side of the road about guns and living on the east coast vs out west and why I was visting Utah. I didn't like the fine, but after getting to know the man, hard to believe, but I actually thought we could be friends if I lived out there. Point being, sometimes people who don't wear the uniform can be just as quick to judge others who may wear a uniform.

My own son wants to go into law enforcement, and I have a nephew going into law enforcement. My only advice to both of them is it's a thankless but admirable job, but don't ever become a prick without knowing you're one just for the fact that you wear a badge and you have power upon others due to your position.

That isn't as frivolous as you might think. Too often there are rocks, broken glass, and other debris kicked out with the grass. Get some bozo who opens his deflector and they can turn into missiles.

Well, most lawns in my neighborhood don’t have rocks, broken glass or debris in them. We haven’t had any riots here.....

Tell them both to be hose draggers.....lol.

And you are correct, I don’t like a lot of cops. It’s a very fine line between being authoritative and being a prick. It gets easier, with time on the job (for most) to stay on the right side of the line.

I have constantly repeated myself because you can't, or won't, understand. It's like talking to my 3 year olds ...

You keep saying "you can't prove anything until you test people in the same environment with and without masks." I keep quoting a journal article that has done EXACTLY that and shown masks decrease transmission.

You apparently struggle with reading comprehension, or you would have understood this the 3 previous times it was posted.

But go on and keep saying "there is no proof!" while ignoring the studies that are exactly what you are claiming are needed to convince you.

Again. Willful ignorance.

My point about wearing the uniform, and I meant LEO uniform was that law enforcement was not black and white. Not "you broke that law, you are going to jail", there is such a thing as officer discretion. In other words applying the law fairly, but even handed and not beating people over the head with a rule book when it will serve no good purpose. An example. 3 scared kids parked down at "the local kid beach" with a 6 pack of beer. They are all underage, and you pour the beer out on the ground, and threaten to call their parents. You let them off with a stern warning, thru their tears. Should you have taken them to jail? No, probably not, unless they were defiant and hateful or aggressive. That is officer discretion, and that was all I meant.

Convince me of what?...I've not denied anything just questioned the percentages (i.e.. the effectiveness)...again...repeating something like a mantra does not make it so...sorry to burst your bubble...!
Too **** funny...!...For someone that claims to have a complete grasp of the matter...you constantly prove otherwise...a journal article? really?....all conclusive huh ??..LMAO...you are delusional...

There has simply not been enough time for conclusive or comprehensive testing...jumping to conclusions based on incomplete data is absurd but it's what you've done from the onset...The only thing you have proven is that there are several sources of the same or similar incomplete research...

Anyone that contests your absurdity all you do is rebut with a condescending diatribe implying inferiority to your omnipotence of an inexact, incomplete science project...

Show me real numbers comparing the number of people who were wearing masks and still became infected...show me the numbers...not just people that did not get infected because of masks and or other PPE.

You are the perfect exemplar of Monty Python's black knight in the Holy Grail...too funny...!

I will respect and accept the moving target of science as it battles to understand a new disease far more than a herd of jacklegs with no training, experience or relevant education that parrot Facebook memes and pretend to know all.

That makes a hundred or more of us.

We cannot develop a 100% effective flu vaccine. We have never been able to develop a vaccine for the common cold. But we are going to have a vaccine in a few months for a virus that started less than a year ago and we do not totally understand.

Isn't science amazing? Even more amazing are the fools that buy into the propaganda.

You writing propaganda IMO. There won't ever be one vaccine for 30-some recognized strains of flu. Every year a group of is expected to flourish and many can be covered in one shot. In a recent year one went wild that wasn't covered and it was bad, giving ammo to antivaxers who expect too much w/o understanding the basics. A common cold is a condition, not a particular strain of anything. There is treatment but no simple cure or prevention.

... Science is a progression of understanding. I understand how that is frustrating for someone that wants answers as quickly as possible, and so it seems like someone is "wrong" or "lying", because they seem to change what they are saying. Actually, adapting viewpoints and understanding based on facts and evidence is a hallmark of a good scientist.

RSR, great posts and thank you for your work to spread actual knowledge. It is amazing how many folks actively try to avoid becoming educated, and prefer rather to stick with bias and assumption. .. there really isn't contradicting data out there. You are just using that idea as an excuse to validate your feelings.

If you cared enough to research the sources of claims in articles and other media, you can see where and why certain statements may appear to contradict. But take in enough data and research, and the basic facts are clearer. Also, this is a novel virus that we are all still learning about, so it's reasonable for findings and guidance to evolve over time. That doesn't discredit science.

Of course masks are not fool proof. That does not change the proven fact that they are effective at containing the spread of a virus.

And let's not compare Covid-19's virulence to other viruses without understanding its remarkably small physical size, minuscule compared to other, more familiar pathogens. It's one that N-95 mask won't block, whereas many others it will.

Piney, it's ok to be superstitious. It doesn't sell everywhere. Nobody says I can't were a bike helmet or a mask, as long as I'm not brandishing an AR pistol in each hand. :)

I wanted to be an actor for many years. I figured what has Brad Pitt got that I don’t?

But then when I was on a movie set a couple years ago in New Orleans (studio needed props from me) watching a filming one day and saw how many times they had to repeat themselves with rehearsals and retakes, I said uh-uh. I can’t stand repeating myself. Let Brad have it.

Probably not the best example, but I understand your meaning.

As an adult, I've been pulled over for faulty equipment(lights burned out), license plate displayed improperly, speeding, etc... there was never a time that I had enforcement interaction with the police that I didn't deserve. Each and every time, I told the absolute truth and off I went. The one time I did get a large speeding ticket, I absolutely deserved it. The one time I got a 5 over during a michigan state police action period when they were pushing for raises, I just rolled my eyes and paid it. I was over, so yes, I was speeding, but man, 60 in a 55? Oh well.

I've been on the receiving end of that exact scenario you gave a couple times in my youth. It did nothing to stop us from drinking again. We'd pour the beer out, drive off, and head to the liquor store again. Yes, taking advantage of a cop's good nature. Too many people did the same thing as us, drove off drunk, got in a wreck and killed someone. The cops get sued for letting the drunk go, and the cops finally learned you should never let a drunk go. It's not worth risking other peoples' lives, or their career, to do someone a favor.

I really wish the cops would have arrested me, or at least made my parents come out and get me. Maybe it would have knocked some sense into me earlier in my life. Stopped drunking in 1985. ;)
