LS MT 125
Good morning-

First- thank you all. I've been quietly lurking in the background reading through endless threads and the information here has been extremely helpful to a tractor noob like myself.

This is kind of a lifeline question- and if it's in the wrong area, please let me know and I'll post somewhere else.

I saw on these threads that the QA system that LS sells for the 125 is smaller than the standard SSQA system. Makes sense as they probably don't want you taxing the machine with heavy equipment. With that being said- one of the solutions I've seen is having the dealer order the QA for the next size up tractor, which will handle standard SSQA attachments.

My question to anyone who has done this is- does the bucket that comes standard with the MT125 still work with the larger QA system, or did you have to buy a larger bucket? The dealer I'm working with has forks that I can buy for $700 that will work with current setup, however, I run into issues if I ever want to use a front end attachment that isn't forks or bucket. If I get the larger size QA system, and I have to buy a larger bucket in addition to whatever forks I buy (probably in the $600 range anyway), it seems even less cost effective than just buying the smaller stuff my dealer offers.

I know the LS is owned by a much smaller population on these forums- but I greatly appreciate any information that can be shared.

Thank you all again for all your help!!

Justin

Don't know about LS so here is the standard SSQA:

And the Mini SSQA used on a Toro Dingo that is the same size as most Mini Skid Steers:

What are the measurements on your LS?

Pictures would help muchly.

Thinking longer term what attachments do you plan to acquire?
I am not familiar with the size ssqa you refer to. However, I have had the occasion to deal with some mini skid steer attachments. There is a greater cost associated with these as there is a more limited market for those attachments.
Once you have an ideal of what you want, a today price comparison may provide you with the information to reach your decision. Presumedly both will increase in cost with the less demanded item a greater increase each time a price increase occurs. Point here being if you want a grapple 2 years from now a $150 difference today maybe close to double that in 2-3 years.
