Landpride Rotary Cutter RCR1248
I have a LandPride cutter now, and I am selling it because there is one grease fitting that cannot be reached without dismantling the drive train. Is there a brand of rotary cutter that has all the grease fittings accessible?

you bust be talking about a brush cutter and the pto shaft? must be a u-joint?
cant you just use a needle point for the grease gun?
are you trying to grease it while its connected to the tractor.
pull the shaft off and the u-joints are much easier to get to

Yeah, I'd find a way to grease that fitting before selling the cutter. Disconnect the PTO shaft from the tractor and bend the knuckles until the fitting is accessible. Then once you have access, change it out to a 90 or 45 degree fitting and point it so you'll have access when the driveline is connected...easy peasy.

Rotary cutters are one of the simplest implements to maintain.

usually only 2 grease fittings on the PTO shaft joints, and two at each tailwheel (one for the wheel, one for the spindle shaft).

WHICH grease fitting are you having trouble accessing and perhaps someone can point you in the right direction. (pictures would be helpful)

But selling an otherwise good cutter to buy a different one, simply because you havent found a good way to access a grease point doesnt seem wise

I take the PTO shafts off of about everything to grease the universal joints.

Greasing sucks, there's no getting around that fact. On has to just live with it. (and, really, this is a First World problem!)

In case it might help (I have one on the brush hog for my NX):

Bare Co USA - Shaft Guard

And get a cordless grease gun and you're life will be a little better.

As noted, see if you can't get an angled zerk in there.
