Rear PTO Shaft Cover

Good Ideas.... I am not using any PTO implements at this time and I sort of wanted to weather protect it actually by greasing it up well and putting something over it to keep grease in place, if you will pardon the expression, a condom....

Oh Shoot! Don't give a Hoot. The mid PTO shaft cover may serve a purpose at rare times but the rear PTO cover stays off on all my machines. I've never met an owner who keeps it on. Goes on the shelf or discarded.

Mine only came with the rear cover as well, dont think the MM is needed.

Anybody who doesn't want theirs wanna sell me it? I want it for that rear pto.

They're like $20 at Agco, but their shipping charge is another $20. 40 bux for just this piece of plastic, screw that!

I just put some grease in my covers and slip them on. Issue solved. Mine are always covered when not in use. They do rust.

It looks like 1-1/4 SCH 40 PVC inside diameter will be about .005" over the PTO size....perfect. I have to find a piece to try it out. A piece 3-3/4 long with a cap on it would be just right.

did not think to try pvc as been messing around trying to find something.
wonder if this worked.
as far as I can tell (on 2010 gc2400) shaft measures across splines as just under 1.5 inches.
