Thinking about you guys. We were part way down the Oregon Coast on a 'no reservation' road trip first of this week and turned around when the winds shifted offshore and smoked us out. Came home and they shifted north. We are still in it thick. No running from the smoke but please run from the fire. Take care!
Yep, you are trapped between two fires. Our west coast is on fire, one of my neighbors are fighting it, they towed a 1000 gallon tank to the front of the fire zone and put out a lot, about 4-5 miles from us.![]()
Nice to hear some good news... just aweful here. We at least need some wind if not rain. They have opened up the town that I live close to (7 miles) . . . things are looking up.
In todays San Diego Tribune news? paper there was a photo of a couple of guys, one carrying a shovel, above a story about the Oregon fires. The caption said it was private citizens coming in from building fire breaks, I immediately thought "Dam Mo, you need to be taking it easy on your back". By the way, my wife subscribes to that yellow journalism rag for the comics I just look at the local section and business news.
