I wasn't trying to make light or fun of it either. It's best we all need to strive to stay positive. As my dad tried to instill in me... attitude is everything, and actions even more.

I think it's healthiest to laugh and try to be happy along the journey. Otherwise one will be consumed with doubt and depression. I think the former is a better way to tackle life.

I've experienced one wildfire that just grazed my west property line. Fear - panic - hopelessness..... all are legitimate reactions to this situation. So much loss in these wildfires..... it can be very depressing.

Thanks for the continuing the sat pic posts, Bruce. I think we are going to take a road trip to Walla Walla this weekend. Hoping the smoke trail continues to move south and east maybe clearing before we get there.

Its the smoke that lingers even inside... not getting the cars covered with ash yet...

A little while back (Day Back) there was almost no smoke smell but the sky was raining ash... the fires were many hundreds of miles away... the "Napa" fires are really very close as the crow flies.

Whenever smoke obstructs the sky the solar panel production drops immensely...
