Massey Ferguson GC1723E
My new Massey Ferguson GC1723 will be delivered tomorrow and I am going to use Fluid Film to coat the underside of the mower deck. I have never used Fluid Film, or any similar product and am wondering if there are any other part(s) of the tractor that would be good to use it on?

A forward thanks for all information and help!

An excellent lube and protectant for tractor PTO splines.

And being you are in the salt belt... every other part that doesn't get greased & is subject to rust.. I spray a light coat on the entire underside of our machine & just about every other metal part.... But I also spray the undersides of our vehicles (the inside of the jeep frame twice a year), all our other equipment & all our attachments (tractor or vehicle related).

Fluid Film is an excellent product if used as intended & correctly... Oh & congrats on the new Massey Ferguson!!!

As others have said... Fluid Film is, I believe, a lanolin based lubricant.

If it moves but doesn't have a dedicated grease nipple (zerk), spray it.

Thanks to everyone for all the replies and information. Is there anything I shouldn't spray it on?

Don't leave a heavy layer on rubber parts. Someone on here pointed that out to me years ago but I didn't believe it. I use it in the doors, nooks, and crannies of my vehicles and found where it accumulates heavy on rubber, it absorbs and the rubber expands and contorts. I spray it on everything and wipe off the excess from rubber and painted surfaces. No problems that way, and you don't need a lot because it creeps into all areas over time.

keep it away from electric motors such as starters it will ruin them.

Lots of fluid film fans here, and I do have some.
I much prefer LPS-3 though, as it has a brown color, and thus is easy to see.
Fluid film is almost clear.
LPS-3 has a mil. spec., does Fluid Film??
