ROPS securing bolts

Before I went to clevis pins, I tapped an expansion/pressure/spring pin into the hole on each Kubota factory bolt for finger leverage. Worked OK.

Some days tractor vibration made the Kubota threaded pins so tight hand pressure was unable to loosen them and I needed a wrench.

That lanyard is really aggravating when removing the stock bolt. Twist-flip-twist-flip.....:smiley_aafz: I may go with Jeff9366s pin one day, or maybe a standard bolt and a cordless driver & socket to zip the bolt in and out quickly. My ROPS got tweaked early on thanks to a low pecan limb near the trunk, I ducked but forgot to warn the ROPS. My first wheelie when very new.

Jeff, do you get any rattling with just the pin?
Thanks

Thanks Jeff

I ordered the pins last night - and unlike the usual for me I actually measured the ROPS to be sure. There must be some reason for the way Kubota did this but it's beyond me why :)
I'd imagine its to prevent rattles, they just combined the bolt and pin together so you can tighten it down.

The B series use pins with clips for the lock pins but have a nut welded to the front for a bolt (or the factory threaded knob) to push against the pivot point and keep it from rattling.
