I have had people honk at me to get going at a light and I calmly got out went back and said "what's up" as if thinking they wanted my attention.

Thanks!
I will file that one away for future reference/use.

Did you ever notice it's always someone else that does something stupid?

Being interested in tractors indicates we are smarter, better behaved, and handsomer.

Practice does not make one better, but good practice makes one better (apologies to the football coach). One reason to wear a helmet when you're riding on a motorized vehicle other than a car no matter what you're doing...

GEEZE things go south FAST in that one! Hope he's OK.

Had a good one last year.....Was tooling along with my flashers on and signaled for a left into an intersecting road (was on my way back to the farm) and I glance in my left mirror and there is a tri-axle rolloff about to pass me on the left....

He was well on the berm too. So, not just 4 wheelers are idiots, truck drivers as well. Must have been in a hurry to get back to the yard. Another Dueface no doubt.

I think tractor turn signals have a dangerous design.
Typically, and others can verify, other drivers following see two flashing hazard lights, then when you put the LEFT “turn signal” on, the only change is that the RIGHT light STOPS flashing.
This is foreign to most drivers who are used to a light that STARTS flashing to indicate the vehicle is about to turn that direction. They either don’t notice the right light goes solid or don’t recognize that that a solid right light means you’re about to turn.

IMHO, it’s safer to actually turn off the flashers for a few moments before applying the turn signal.

Also, when there’s no oncoming traffic, drift to the left lane and block the passing lane before you get to the turn so they don’t think that slowing down means “Hey, this is when I should pass.”

Kinda like turn signals on a fire truck or state highway snow plow or ambulance. No one sees the little blinker over all the other bright flashing lights.
