Can I start my engine with no hydraulic fluid? Or would that cause damage, just want to make sure everything is good and I would hate to have to drain it again.
Before refilling the tractor with Hydraulic fluid that is costly, you can fill it about 3/4 way with diesel and run the tractor. This way, the diesel acts both as a lube and as a cleaner. After about 10 or less mins, you can drain the diesel and refill later with the right fluid.
I have seen very mixed thoughts on running diesel fluid. I this really safe?
Why are you wanting to crank it without fluid? I'm kinda slow.....![]()
I rebuilt just the bottom end due to the crank breaking while idling in the driveway, not exactly sure why that happened, just want to make sure there are no other anomalies if I can.
