If you have not used it, I'd return it. Get literally anything else. Lucas red and tacky, Mystik JT-6, Gladus S2 (on sale for a whopping $3.24 at TSC). Reason is lucas green is polyrurea based, and is not compatible with pretty much any other grease. You can use the other ones and just switch to Amsoil whenever, no issues with compatibility (although I like to pump out the old grease for good measure when switching).

Grease Compatibility Chart and Reference Guide

So your biggest reason NOT to use Lucas green is incompatibility with other greases?
If starting new with Lucas green, its ok, though?

Yes, it's ok to start and stick with. But if memory serves there are better choices.

The incompatibility is only an issue if Lucas Green is Polyurea Conventional grease. If it is polyurea shear stable, it is much more compatible with other greases, almost a non-issue. I just don't know which one it is, so I stay away. Lucas can probably answer that for you. Shame it's not on their TechDataSheet.

Many references online recommend the Air Tec Lube Shuttle grease gun and the screw-in, no-mess containers.

How do these grease offerings compare to the others in this thread, such as Amsoil Synthetic Multi-Purpose #2 ?

Li400 Extreme Duty Grease - Lithium Complex
Li4?? Extreme Use Grease - The Lube Shuttle

KH150 Full Synthetic - Calcium
KH15? Full-Synthetic Grease- Lube Shuttle

Misc summary pages:
Air-Tec Grease for Lube-Shuttle(R) - The Lube Shuttle

As with the WD-40 grease offerings, Air Tec doesn't list as many technical data points online compared to some other manufacturers that specialize in petroleum products.

The answer is most of their non-moly grease offerings do not compare well. I understand your enthusiasm for the Lube Shuttle, it's a great piece of kit, but I was put off by the lack of available grease choices. In the end I bought a pneumatic grease tub, that filled from a 5 gallon pail.

If you don't mind the staining power of moly, then you can get Paragon 3000 for the lube shuttle. Best in class moly grease, for the real heavy duty users (lots of shock load, lots of mud etc.).

Bought the kit and greased the tractor today. No mess whatsoever from start to finish!

The price is a premium compared to commodity grease and a traditional grease gun, but nothing makes frequent greasing easier with a portable grease gun.

Guess someone re-invented the wheel, kind of an expensive wheel though, and once a person buys this wheel looks like he's stuck with this wheel cause it looks like that wheel only works with one kind of wheel.......... Lube-Shuttle(R): Electric Grease Gun (2 batteries) - AET Systems, Inc.
Easiest Grease Tube Change - YouTube

The battery powered gun is way overpriced, and a one trick pony (I don't need another battery type in my garage). Quick note we may see some clones that accept the same screw in cartridges soon, as it is a standard in Europe. I have seen a 'reasonably priced" pneumatic version that should be on its way also.

For heavy users, they do sell a bulk pump adapter and empty tubes. That way you can fill your own screw on tubes with your own grease.

The pistol grip and lever action Lube Shuttle grease guns are approximately $60~$70 delivered.

Compare to other name-brand grease guns, such as from Lincoln. The Lincoln pistol grip grease gun on Amazon is ~$40, but uses the traditional design with the follower-rod, handle, spring, etc.

Other brands and models show anywhere from ~$15 to $50 for traditional design grease guns.

The Lube Shuttle introduces a new design, which does away with the follower-rod and other components below the tube.

I viewed the Lube Shuttle grease guns as a +$30 premium over traditional design options, and the screw-in grease tubes aren't much more than traditional tubes, although the variety is limited, unless you fill your own tubes and buy the empty screw-in containers, as Mangler describes above using the bulk pump adapter. Note, the screw-in tubes are reusable, unlike most traditional grease tube refills.

$15 for TRC Paragon 3000 in screw-in tube from Lock-n-Lube when bought individually (buy two or more for free shipping, and discounts kick in when buying a box of 10 or more). Paragon 3000 is about the same price in a traditional tube.

Agreed, the Lube Shuttle model that is an electric grease gun is expensive, but a battery-powered grease gun from any company is going to be expensive. Lincoln makes one for ~$330, and it uses the traditional design with follower-rod.

Linked below is an image of the pistol grip Lube Shuttle with Lock-n-Lube attached (plus swivel and NPT adapter), and a tube of Paragon 3000 grease in the screw-in tube.
