Fines from crushing stone at a pit. Here in the northeast, they mix the fines with crushed stone for driveways and call it ledgepak.

The owner of a quarry was a friend of dads, he would generally bring a load every year. We didnt have a fel, so we had to shovel it into the spreader.
I agree and that's why I'm using the polymer.
I have pavers in Florida on driveway and lanai and we constantly have to kill weeds and spray mold on the north side. I did use the home despot's polymer there but put the pavers are tight and that junk didn't work.
