I think that was my point. He's not exempt from our advice either. It's his money not ours.

Some of us are better at reading the future.

btw, I was all set to go for a bike ride today, but I might get hit by lighting while on it. Guess it's time to sell it. I'm not exempt from possibilities.

Surely even YOU must realize that your "logic" is absurd!

What kind of Warr. are you going to get for your Kubota 8 years down the road???

SR

None!
Exactly the same warranty the TYM dealer will provide on an RK tractor in the FIRST 8 years!

Seems like buying a TYM built tractor from a TYM dealer might be a much safer overall purchase, even if at a bit more cost.

My 2006 Kubota is long out of warranty, but I can get parts from a list of dealers, with overnight shipping if necessary.

"There's something wrong with everything. You just have to find it."

Seems you went looking for it re the OP's choice of brand. I just applied the attitude somewhere else.

There's also a difference between logic and opinion and I can tell the difference. Mine are both as good as yours, sonny. :)

btw, I also realize that a warranty is only as good a someone's ability to back it up when you or I need it.

As said above it's a gamble with any product you buy, and lifetime warranties/parts aren't part of tractor buying anyway.

First hand experience with TYM or RK, I'm sure.

At 3 weeks short of 80 years old, I'm just loving the "sonny"... INSULT!
Your kindness is noted!

"First hand experience with TYM or RK, I'm sure".
YOU are correct, I considered RK when it was initially offered!
Did not compare with Branson though.
So....only those having whatever you consider to be "first hand experience", are capable of discussing the pros and cons of specific new tractors?

I knew ya got ~ ten years on me, just wanted to see if you'd take the bait. :D

That said I wonder if there is a seniority system here for comments/creds. :)

Insulted? Well, if you're as old as you feel I guess I can understand your delightful sense of humor and thick skin.

I might help to have owned or operated one for at least a few years. But if you have enough seniority one might not need experience just the wisdom of their years, and I'm sure most folks realize that. (Younger ones are called 'peanut gallery', right?)

btw, Didn't you get the best advice on raising kids or pets from someone who didn't have any?

None was my point, pay more and KNOW there's no warr., OR pay less and their most likely will be some warr...

As for parts, If I had a RK tractor, if needed, there's LOT'S of other places to get parts as the same tractor is sold under several names...

I would have no problem buying a RW tractor, if I was in the market for that kind/size tractor...

You aren't "discussing pro's and cons", you are making absolute statements, and you have no experience of the product to be making them.

How are you supposed to grease the bucket cylinders? Through the end of the pins?
