68°F and .80 inches rain.

Another no paint day or at least morning. Will be interesting to see if any of the maskings survived. Oh well, we’ll get there.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Ken, that mill work sounds interesting, and fun.

Eric, a few years back I took our Sequoia to town to a volunteer event. Sometime later I needed to retrieve something but alas the key fob just wouldn’t unlock anything. Somewhat reluctantly, I called Sophie to ask if she could plan on coming in the Tacoma to retrieve me. Figured she be able to take me to store for a much needed new battery. She did. But it was more embarrassing than relief when I learned I had been using the Tacoma fob trying to unlock the Sequoia. I had completely forgotten I had both on my person.

Kyle, you are about to witness direct feedback of your parenting skills of all these years - I suspect she will do you proud.

Mostly, we laugh too about our rain attitude and when it’s too dry. A normal year for us is 120-140 inches, but here it is 10th of Nov and haven’t broken 99 yet. This past month was too many days of wet but no accumulation. Today’s rain is most welcome.

My daughter is 40 and I remember the teen years well, but all in all she was very well behaved. When she was 16 she had a Cavalier Z24 convertible. One of the boys ask if he could drive it, she told him that dad would likely kill them both and take the car away. Neither is true.

49-77 today, clouds moving in ahead of what looks like 2-3” of rain over the next couple of days.
Changed the oil in Ellen’s Edge, got the battery for the 70 El Camino which I plan to install shortly. I already installed a disconnect switch and got a battery tender for it. It sits so much that the battery naturally discharges over time.

Letting my lunch settle sitting on the deck with Gracie, she’s stretched out in the sun, loves it out here. IMG_1975.JPG

The 30% chance of rain just became 100%. The rain pounding on the steel roof interrupted Operation Market Garden, with Sean Connery.

Thanks for the chiropractor and daughter dating advice.

My daughter laughed at L4N's comments. Lol.

The screen is an Elite Screens Yard Master 120" - it has an aluminum frame and thick screen with black backing. For Sound I use a JBL Charge 3, that is what I have around for using at the pool. The screen takes some time to fold/unfold the frame and install screen, but it is pretty solid. Have used it for 4 movie nights and it takes about 15 minutes to assemble. easier with 2 people.
For the projector, I just get a cheap one with keystone and ability to "zoom", cost me about $80. this one I have about three years. So some do last...

That’s a great setup. I trash picked a 96” wide institutional pull down square screen that I clamp to a loader bucket, which is functional, but crude by comparison.
For sound, I found a 5.1 Dolby studio decoder on eBay for cheap, as nobody produces new 5.1 content. But it gives me XLR outputs for all channels that I use with powered PA speakers. It makes for an incredible experience, but still a bit of work to set everything up. No movie nights this year due to Covid, but I’m always interested in how others do it.
