Would you buy a Kubota work truck?

With the ever increasing and burdensome level of government red tape to build OTR vehicles, its doubtful they would even want to get in the OTR truck market.
Also, theres blood in the water now for fossil fuels now that prices are likely to double or triple (rejoin Paris accords and upcoming green new deal).
The appeal to buy more fossil fuel vehicles is on the precipice of decline and the American economy is very likely to shrink in the upcoming years. Promised Corporate tax increases will drive foreign companies like Kubota offshore to decrease tax burdens.
Also, one would think that right to work states like Georgia could face an uphill battle from pressure by labor unions, it would be built off shore in one of Kubotas plants outside US or Japan to save on increasing labor costs.

Sounds like a great idea, but unless it’s already done and ready to be unveiled, too many new and existing headwinds in this climate to start new fossil fuel consuming vehicles

Been thinking of getting a new truck down the line... and I am disturbed by the prices of new 1 ton trucks... I might as well buy a medium duty truck.

I don't want electric and it has to be an oil burner...

AC/radio are the only things that I want to have power outside of legally required lights. Unfortunately no one makes that even for special order anymore. The prices of new trucks are plain stupid high for something you know you'll use hard. Medium duty does look appealing, mostly because they have less crap which keeps the price low but they are still spendy as well.

Never happen. Kubota is smart enough to know they can't compete. Such a vehicle is going to get very expensive to build in the next few years.

Roxor? What a joke. Not even close to what's being proposed in this discussion. The Roxor would struggle to haul a lawn mower and would fail under the weight of a BX.

I just wonder. How would decades of experience with off-road vehicles and implements translate to a new line of on-road vehicles. The competition would be stiff.

I would be more excited at an existing mid size manufacturer offering a Kubota (NON TURBO) Diesel, pre-emissions. I don't care if it takes a minute to do 0-60. I'm, not in a race or in any hurry.

I am going to assume since Muhammad started this endeavor as a Kubota tractor site, he has some sort of "IN" with them, and this is an attempt to do market research for them.......

Not this time. The UTV guys would probably spit out their coffee at the prospect of dealing with the emissions regulations.

Unfortunately you are right. OTOH that's the direction the younger crowd wants to head in, and it's time to start handing over the reins to them.

Define stupid high? Every time this topic comes up people start talking about trucks with 20-30K worth of accessories. When I was shopping 3 months ago you could still buy a 3/4 or ton truck with 4WD for under 40K. Granted that's still pricey to me because I don't need a heavy truck often, yet a lot less than numbers people always throw around.
I've had more problems over the years with hand crank windows than I've ever had with electric... the next time I have problems with the latter will be the first.

Fossil fuels will be around for a few more decades according to many a Financial media review . Considering how slow the electric vehicle market is proceeding compared to where electric vehicle proponents said we would be a decade ago .....and the continued low price of gas , and how many fossil resourced based countries are going to use the sale of fossil resources to dig themselves out of the covid pandemic deficits.....gas and diesel fueled pickups will be around long after I am buried. As for wanting a Kubota pickup truck, I have a Kubota RTV and here we can drive on rural roads...so I already have a Kubota pickup truck :)
